I had a truly disappointing experience on my very first day at this gym this morning. When I arrived, I politely asked the front desk associate where the class I signed up for was located. She mentioned it was only her second day working there and didn’t know, but asked me to wait for the manager. I appreciated her honesty and patience. Unfortunately, things went downhill from there. When the manager named Gabby finally came out, she completely ignored me and went out of her way to avoid acknowledging my question. I asked again, politely, for help finding my class. Instead of assisting, the manager snapped at me, saying I should “look around and find it myself.” I explained that it was my first day and that I wouldn’t be asking if I already knew where to go. The response was incredibly rude. She stated she didn’t know and told me to “go”. When I asked for her supervisor’s contact information, she insisted she was the manager. After I pressed for who she directly report to, she reluctantly gave me an 800 number, which turned out to be non-working when I got home and tried to call. This entire experience left me shocked and frustrated. For a business built on customer experience and community, this level of unprofessionalism and lack of basic courtesy is unacceptable. I truly hope management or corporate leadership sees this and takes steps to train Gabby and their staff about basic information of facility such location of classes held in their club. I hope they train their staff basic customer service on how to be helpful and not shutdown their customers. I did not felt welcome if any thing I felt this manger Gabby didn’t want me to be at this club and that was her way of telling me to not come by treating me so poorly. I hope this manager Gabby is taught how to treat new members with respect and basic human decency.

Me and my lady friend went on to sign up for a membership. Apparently your not allowed to pay for a year in advance and no credit cards are excepted, required routing and checking number which not comfortable giving them especially after all the trouble with trying to sign up im the first place.

I’m in a hydrobed as I type this, and I just have to say—this place is absolutely amazing. Top-notch equipment, and there’s so much of it. The machines are rarely, if ever, broken. Staff are friendly, everything is spotless, and honestly, it’s incredible value for the price. I’ve been to both the YMCA and LifeTime. YMCA has a nice community feel, but it’s more expensive, equipment breaks constantly, and it’s always crowded. LifeTime is very nice, but wow… so expensive. Honestly, either of those gyms only really make sense if you have kids and need daycare while you work out, or if you absolutely need amenities like basketball courts, tennis courts, or pools. A quick note about Planet Fitness: it gets a lot of flak from fitness influencers for having “entry-level” equipment or not being serious lifter territory. I’ve been lifting for 5+ years and consider myself an intermediate lifter. You absolutely do not need freeweight barbells for squats, deadlifts, and bench presses to build muscle and hit your goals. Compound lifts are beneficial, sure—but do you need to pay $200 more a month for them? Lol, no. Save money, enjoy new and excellent equipment, and avoid the crowds. And one last shoutout to this franchise owner—they are absolutely killing it.

The people working there are amazing but the planet fitness policy is ridiculous look I got injured for a who month I couldn’t show up so instead of taking 15$ they took from me 64$ in my first day then they took 25 a month later remember I applied for the 15$ a month then I went there to cancel the planet fitness online payment guess what they said I have to pay 65$ to cancel it this is ridiculous and scam but I’ll go there on Monday and see what the manager can do then I’ll let you all know wassap
