  My experience at Rushton Recovery was nothing short of life-changing. Reaching 30 days sober is one of the biggest milestones I’ve ever achieved and I’ve accomplished a lot in my life. Rushton played a huge role in helping me get there, and I’m truly grateful for every moment I spent at this center. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and peaceful, with naturistic scenery, serene trails, and daily walks that became one of my favorite parts of the day. Inside, the facility is gorgeous, true luxury. My bedroom even had its own fireplace and steam shower, which made the entire stay feel both comfortable and restorative. The owners clearly put incredible care into upgrading the home’s interior design and creating a layout that supports healing, community, and peace. What really sets Rushton Recovery apart, though, is the people. The owners were there every single day, working hard, supporting us, and catering to whatever needs came up. Brandee, one of the owners, is amazing!! She would personally take people to haircuts, doctor’s appointments, etc. Her kindness and hands on approach meant a lot and it truly showed how much she cares to help people. The entire staff is exceptional! The are extremely professional, compassionate, and always quick to help with anything. The chef's food was also unbelievable. He would display the food as if you were at a Michelin 5 Star restaurant. I honestly never thought I’d say that I miss being at a rehab center, but I genuinely miss Rushton Recovery. It gave me clarity, strength, and a fresh start in life and I can’t recommend it enough to anyone seeking a real, meaningful path to recovery.

  I could not recommend Rushton highly enough. I am so beyond thankful to start my recovery journey here. The staff are beyond great, so accommodating and kind. The program is fantastic. The facility is beautiful. This facility will have you leaving confident in your recovery journey. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for everything! Forever greatful to the staff and my peers for everything! If you are considering making the best choice of your life to start your recovery journey, please make it at Rushton you will not be disappointed!!!!

  Rushton Recovery is absolutely amazing. From the moment you arrive, the peaceful and relaxing environment immediately puts you at ease. It creates the perfect space to focus on your recovery and truly be present in the journey. The atmosphere is calm and healing, which makes such a difference when you’re working through something so important. The staff here is second to none. They are kind, caring, and compassionate, and it’s clear that they genuinely care about every individual who comes through their doors. They don’t just provide support—they really take the time to listen, understand, and accommodate each person’s unique needs. That personal touch makes all the difference and helps you feel seen, valued, and supported every step of the way. I honestly couldn’t have done it anywhere else. Rushton Recovery gave me the tools, encouragement, and safe environment I needed to move forward, and for that, I’ll always be grateful.

  I had the most incredible experience at Rushton Recovery. The staff is absolutely wonderful, and the owners, Brandee and Steve, are two of the kindest people I’ve ever met. They are constantly working—getting there early, staying late—and they truly put patients first. They even share meals with us and play pickleball, which helped create a warm, supportive community rather than a sterile facility environment. Shoutouts to the whole team who went above and beyond. Jess is a rock star—she went out of her way to make everyone comfortable, took me to court, kept us stocked with tasty snacks, grabbed us soda and pizza, and was a fantastic friend. Donna is the sweetest nurse ever—empathetic, incredibly capable, and a jack of all trades. She’s an amazing chef, speaks multiple languages, and even came in on her day off to bake me a delicious apple pie. Dr. Khatiwala checked on me constantly; her attentiveness made a world of difference, and it was a thrill to learn she knew Dr. Bobby Mukkamala from my Flint political days. Erin Masek is a beautiful soul who crafted a solid workout plan and helped me rebuild my resume. I’m obsessed with her and strive to be more like her every day! Nick ensured I had enough time and support before discharge, and it was great to connect with a fellow musician and social worker. Shamonda and Josh kept things lively and informative—Josh’s smartass humor and Shamonda’s detailed Med Ed presentations had me laughing while learning. Willie’s energy—“Okayyyyyyyy! Alriiiiiight!”—and his gentle reminders about being mindful of phone time always stuck with me. Chef James, thank you for being so accommodating and for the magnificent meals. Rushton feels like family, and I’m deeply grateful for how you helped me heal, grow, and move forward.
