I ordered Versace 1066 frames with progressive lenses on January 17, 2026, and was quoted 10 days. I waited two full weeks with no word before calling to check in — the clerk said the delay was unusual (maybe shipping or lab issues) and suggested they might have had to reorder if the glasses arrived defective or there was a lab mishap. She thought they should be ready soon, within another week or so. When I still hadn't heard anything, I called again around February 7 just to make sure it hadn't slipped through the cracks. Finally got a text on February 12 saying they were ready; picked them up the next day — after a total of 26 days.
They arrived unprepped and visibly twisted — the temples met the frame much higher than they should have relative to the nose bridge, creating a noticeable V-shape instead of sitting level. The frames rocked on a flat table about a centimeter, and the overall alignment looked off. I've owned two perfect pairs of the same frame before, so I knew this wasn't "just the style" like the staff insisted.
They adjusted them in-store, but when I got home and looked closer, they were still crooked and rocked on the table. I spent another full hour trying to adjust them myself at home, and even after wearing them for a week, they never sat right.
I brought them back to return them and asked for a quick PD remeasurement (it had been 6 months since my exam) so I could double-check before reordering a backup pair or alternate frames — though these Versace ones were the ones I really wanted, I was going to double-check my Zenni order and order a backup through LensCrafters. The staff said that's normal for them to rock even with adjustments. I showed them the pair from Zenni that sat flush on the table lenses up and down and fit perfectly to illustrate what proper alignment looks like, and they processed my return.
Frustrated, I left and forgot to ask for the PD remeasurement I came in for as well. So, I turned around when I was halfway home and drove back about 10 minutes later. I kindly said that I'd forgotten to ask and requested the remeasurement... but they sternly refused to re-check my PD, handed me old measurements saying "they're close," and when I explained why I wanted it double-checked, they remained firm and dismissive, with no apology for the misaligned glasses or the long wait. For $450 out of pocket (retail ~$1,200), I expected them to arrive straight, square, and ready to wear.
I ended up keeping the similar progressives from Zenni for $120 — perfect fit, no adjustments needed.
Update: After my original review, management called to apologize. I took it down in good faith and called them back a few times. On February 26 we spoke — they apologized again and asked what would make it right. I suggested 50% off my original cost (~$225 total) if I reordered, especially with the delays already eating into my insurance window. They initially said "Yes, we can offer 50% off the frames" — a year-round deal they've run for years — but when I clarified I meant 50% off what I actually paid (my out-of-pocket after insurance), they said they'd check with corporate and get back to me. It's now March 7 — still no word after weeks of waiting, even after I gave them extra time beyond the promised follow-up.
In the meantime, I found the exact same frames with progressives at LensesRX for about $250 total (and they were responsive about custom PD needs via email).
I appreciate that they reached out initially, but the whole experience — a 26-day wait far beyond the quoted 10 days (with hints of possible lab mishaps or reorders adding to the uncertainty), misaligned glasses on arrival, multiple failed adjustment attempts, dismissive in-store attitude (even after I went out of my way to return politely and follow up), and then complete silence on their promised corporate check — really let me down. I won't be going back.
