I had an exam done here towards the end of 2025 and it was decent but I was told I can come back any day to do the contact exam due to restricted time. When I called back to schedule it, they said we only do contacts exam same time as glasses and that Ive used my insurance for the year and will have to pay out of pocket for it. I don’t like that I was tricked after paying over $400 for my glasses and exam. If I was told I can schedule it for a separate time then I should have been able to come back for my contact exam or been told they have to be done together. Its a shame.

I ordered Versace 1066 frames with progressive lenses on January 17, 2026, and was quoted 10 days. I waited two full weeks with no word before calling to check in — the clerk said the delay was unusual (maybe shipping or lab issues) and suggested they might have had to reorder if the glasses arrived defective or there was a lab mishap. She thought they should be ready soon, within another week or so. When I still hadn't heard anything, I called again around February 7 just to make sure it hadn't slipped through the cracks. Finally got a text on February 12 saying they were ready; picked them up the next day — after a total of 26 days. They arrived unprepped and visibly twisted — the temples met the frame much higher than they should have relative to the nose bridge, creating a noticeable V-shape instead of sitting level. The frames rocked on a flat table about a centimeter, and the overall alignment looked off. I've owned two perfect pairs of the same frame before, so I knew this wasn't "just the style" like the staff insisted. They adjusted them in-store, but when I got home and looked closer, they were still crooked and rocked on the table. I spent another full hour trying to adjust them myself at home, and even after wearing them for a week, they never sat right. I brought them back to return them and asked for a quick PD remeasurement (it had been 6 months since my exam) so I could double-check before reordering a backup pair or alternate frames — though these Versace ones were the ones I really wanted, I was going to double-check my Zenni order and order a backup through LensCrafters. The staff said that's normal for them to rock even with adjustments. I showed them the pair from Zenni that sat flush on the table lenses up and down and fit perfectly to illustrate what proper alignment looks like, and they processed my return. Frustrated, I left and forgot to ask for the PD remeasurement I came in for as well. So, I turned around when I was halfway home and drove back about 10 minutes later. I kindly said that I'd forgotten to ask and requested the remeasurement... but they sternly refused to re-check my PD, handed me old measurements saying "they're close," and when I explained why I wanted it double-checked, they remained firm and dismissive, with no apology for the misaligned glasses or the long wait. For $450 out of pocket (retail ~$1,200), I expected them to arrive straight, square, and ready to wear. I ended up keeping the similar progressives from Zenni for $120 — perfect fit, no adjustments needed. Update: After my original review, management called to apologize. I took it down in good faith and called them back a few times. On February 26 we spoke — they apologized again and asked what would make it right. I suggested 50% off my original cost (~$225 total) if I reordered, especially with the delays already eating into my insurance window. They initially said "Yes, we can offer 50% off the frames" — a year-round deal they've run for years — but when I clarified I meant 50% off what I actually paid (my out-of-pocket after insurance), they said they'd check with corporate and get back to me. It's now March 7 — still no word after weeks of waiting, even after I gave them extra time beyond the promised follow-up. In the meantime, I found the exact same frames with progressives at LensesRX for about $250 total (and they were responsive about custom PD needs via email). I appreciate that they reached out initially, but the whole experience — a 26-day wait far beyond the quoted 10 days (with hints of possible lab mishaps or reorders adding to the uncertainty), misaligned glasses on arrival, multiple failed adjustment attempts, dismissive in-store attitude (even after I went out of my way to return politely and follow up), and then complete silence on their promised corporate check — really let me down. I won't be going back.

Have had wonderful experiences each time I've been there. Dr LoGrasso was wonderful in my exams and I had a top tier interaction with Ban over the phone as I was ordering contact lenses. She was very patient with me and helped me navigate all the questions I had. I would definitely recommend going here.

I felt very uncomfortable here. I don't like the fact how I w was constantly getting followed around the whole store like a furniture store and getting pressure and fake compliments to buy every glasses I put on to try. Why can't I decide for myself and have my own space. I don't like being followed.

Frequently Asked Questions About LensCrafters

How do I know if my child needs glasses?

Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.

Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?

A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
