Dr. Blum was very kind and knowledgeable but she was unfortunately the only positive part of my experience. Be careful with their pricing: they lure you in by telling you the cost of the frames, then stack on an insane amount of additional charges. I have a simple, single-vision prescription and insurance, yet I still ended up paying $279 out of pocket for one of their 'cheaper' frame options and that was after declining their warranty, blue light, and scratch resistant add-on fees. Other eyeglass providers like Warby Parker include lens protection warranty, UV protection, and anti-glare at no extra cost—meanwhile Pearle Vision charges extra for every little thing. (For full pricing details for a single-vision pair of glasses the total was $699.97. My insurance paid $453.98 and I was invoiced for 270.99 and they tack on a credit card fee of 3% as well to arrive at $279. The frame itself was way overpriced at $289.99 and online they retail for $135 through LensCrafters.) The most frustrating part was the lack of transparency on their policies. I realized after leaving that I was being overcharged and called less than 15 minutes after placing my order to cancel. I was told there are no cancellations or returns. They claimed this was stated on the invoice, but I wasn't even given the invoice until after I had paid, and the policy is tucked away on the back page where you’d never see it anyways. I tried to resolve this in person; the assistant manager was nice and promised a manager would call me to discuss a refund or discount, but nobody ever reached out. I eventually just picked up the glasses to cut my losses and never have to deal with them again. Save your money and go somewhere with transparent, reasonable pricing and better customer service.

It’s very rare these days to walk into any business and be greeted and with smiles, and it was New Year’s Eve morning nonetheless! Dr. Blum was so patient, kind, and thorough, which made us both feel very comfortable. This will definitely be our go-to vision service moving forward!

I received my prescription without my Pupil Distance and when I called to inquire about it I was told I would be charged an extra $25 for that. I expressed that I never heard of that anywhere else as it’s usually included in the exam rather I decided to purchase glasses there or not. I don’t like being nickled and dimed for every single thing when I have great insurance coverage that covers these things. I won’t return back here for this reason alone! What else will they charge me for sizing my glasses?
