Court One Athletic Club has a very good facility for the cost. The courts are well maintained, and the front desk staff are generally friendly and helpful.
That said, the management experience lately has been disappointing and unprofessional, especially around tennis court availability and communication.
Tennis courts are frequently locked for classes that don’t even have students until very late, which makes it extremely hard for recreational players to plan sessions. Many prime-time slots are blocked for “potential” classes or private lessons, yet the courts remain unused. As a rec player, reserving a court has become unnecessarily difficult despite seeing open courts sitting idle.
Court rentals for private tournaments or organized play have been even worse. I emailed multiple times, left several voicemails, and followed up with staff asking them to remind the appropriate coordinators. I did not receive a single response for over three weeks. Because of this lack of communication, I had to postpone a planned tournament from January to March.
The facility itself is great, and the staff on the floor do their best, but management seriously needs to improve scheduling transparency, responsiveness, and respect for recreational players’ time.

It is the best gym in Okemos. It is centrally located and it is 5 minutes from anyplace in Okemos. It has all facilities and group classes for children, adults & seniors. I particularly like Bollywood Dance Fitness BWORKZ, Zumba, Hot yoga vinyasa, swimming and tennis facilities. It is very rare to get all these in one location. It is one of kind in entire Michigan.

Some coaches are very irresponsible. I learnt tennis from a coach for two years, two private lessons and two group lessons per week. But I didn’t know how to stroke. The coach said because I am not old enough to have the strength. I couldn’t move fast to receive balls, however the coach said because my eyesight is not good enough. It was a nightmare to learn tennis from some coaches there.
