  Scheduling an eye exam is simple and quick. However, when it comes to someone answering their phones, I give a 1-star. Pearle Vision's website is incredibly vague when it comes to the cost of their eye exams. Compared to other places, this establishment posts a 50-200$ range for their examinations. While that is somewhat helpful, it does not count as an EXACT amount that I would be prepared to pay without insurance. I called them on 12/01/2025 at 2:06 PM to ask about their OOP costs without insurance. No call back. So, I did call again, Friday, 12/05/2025 at 8:59 PM to cancel my appointment due to lack of information and their inability to provide not even an email with their price for an OOP exam. I've worked at places with better communication than this place is willing to NOT offer. So, I will not be scheduling an appointment with this establishment again. Despite my frustrations, I do hope you all have a Happy Holiday and that they do not continue to rely on Artificial Intelligence as their scheduling system.

  Beware they only allow access to your eye exam prescription for 1 year vs 2 years at most other optometrists. Attached is from their website recommending adult exams every 2 years. They are willing to honor your prescription if you buy from them but will not provide you with a copy. I went in today for repair on the glasses I purchased and to potentially get a copy of my prescription, was treated rudely by staff as if they don’t care about customers just money. Tried to sell me new frames instead of even attempting to repair. I took elsewhere and they were repaired no problem. I will no longer use or recommend Pearle Vision.

  Everyone at the site is always welcoming and helpful. Taylor took great care of me in my frame choices and the Doc is helpful and kind! Every time I come in, it is a painless and simple experience.

  All this place cares about is money. My first time buying glasses I was pointed to the glass shelf where all the expensive brand name glasses are. I thought this was the only option my insurance pay for. I went ahead and picked out the glass I was okay with and ended up paying close to 400 dollars for it. I then had my yearly eye exam and had told them I wanted contacts. I went in for the eye exam and the fitting (not knowing that the fitting will cost me $50). The place was busy that day so I told them i will call back after checking with my insurance because I know my insurance gives a discount for glasses/contacts, after being told by the lady that my insurance wont cover anything. And when i left that day of my eye exam, the lady told me she will send me a bill for my visit. After 2 months I called back to ask if I can place an order for the contacts over the phone or so I need to come in. The lady was extremely rude to me. She told me i did not pay for my last visit which is $60 dollars. I told her i never received any bills. (I also work for a doctor office so I figured sometimes the visit don't get billed after 3-4 months or they are behind in billing). The way she talks to me like I was trying to dodge the payment. I ended up giving her my card to charge for the payment but then she told me that my insurance won't pay for the contacts. I had already called my insurance twice to verified and was told i get a discount for both contacts and glasses. The lady gave my a quote for the contacts I want for 170 dollars. I went ahead and contact eyemart and was seen by them and got my contacts for only 88 dollars. I will not be going back to this place after the way she talk to me. DR. Madson was nice but I don't like how I was talk to and the way things are handle around here.

  This is the best place to get glasses! They are one of the few places that still does in network with my insurance VSP and they have the biggest best selection of glasses. I went to the mall in Okemos, to the store in Frandor and a couple of other places! I wish I would have come here first and saved the time! Plus the workers are so nice. I had Raelynn help me and she made it so easy. Will for sure be back next year!
