Took my mother here for an eye exam — terrible experience. It took 1 hour and 30 minutes even though there was only one person ahead of us. Once they realized we were only there for the exam and prescription, not to buy their expensive glasses, we were treated unfairly. They wouldn’t even provide my mother’s PD (pupillary distance). We had to go across the street to Clarkson Eye Care, where they gave it to her free of charge. We will not be coming back here. Nothing but disrespectful staff and pushy upsellers. The optometrist was respectful, but none of the three receptionists were.

The doctor was extremely through. I have wet AMD and see a specialist regularly so I am pretty familiar with the testing and she didn't miss a beat. She took the time to explain wet AMD and even asked what vitamins I was taking, if any, to delay the progression of any deterioration of my vision. The store staff was very helpful and we picked out three frames that I just love. He listened to where I needed to be price wise and made that happen. I am especially happy with the treatment and service I received and would recommend them anyone. It was a truly pleasurable experience.

Frequently Asked Questions About LensCrafters

How do I know if my child needs glasses?

Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.

Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?

A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
