Robin saved whatever is left of this experience. She was very kind and patient while I was frustrated. Helped me tremendously, when I called, even stayed after to help. I went online Tuesday, made an appointment for a Friday. Wednesday I get a call saying if I don’t upload my insurance my appointment will be cancelled and moved to a walk in. They didn’t even give me time to breath before they threaten to cancel my appointment, I asked what the point of making an appointment was if they were going to cancel it and they said because I am the first appointment Friday they need the paperwork before end of day Thursday. It was Wednesday morning…and I know they aren’t busy.. anyway, I submitted my paperwork accordingly so it didn’t get canceled. I then spend hours going back and forth via text about how they ran my OLD insurance from years ago, (that’s not what I sent them) then tell me I am a walk in after submitting my info as they requested, and that I will have to pay $108 for the exam and hope if I have insurance they will reimburse me. I’ve spent all day doing their job. Okemos LensCrafters has never treated me this way and they got my insurance the first time by calling them and getting my vision plan, like they are supposed to do. Incredibly unprofessional and I will not be seen here. Thank god they made me a walk in.

I did not know that LensCrafters offered so much, especially in the variety of glasses. It's been 30 years since I went to LensCrafters and they have elevated this store so much till I will tell anybody to go there and please ask for Dawn cause she will get you where you need to be!!

I came in to buy new lenses for an existing pair of glasses that I had. I was able to save even more with the promotion that they had and new frames. I appreciate them doing that for me

Frequently Asked Questions About LensCrafters

How do I know if my child needs glasses?

Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.

Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?

A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
