I have been going to Bronson: The Groves for over 5 years and have never quite been satisfied with their work and customer care. 2025 broke the final straw.
Doctor Shafqat is the primary physician I see. While he is a wonderful person, and seems to be an attentive doctor, he over documents during/after exams, including information never discussed with the patient during the visit. This includes diagnostic tests ordered without patient awareness and diagnoses he has come to the conclusion of without many questions with the patient. I have also had issues with previous conditions being snuck into current exams as 'new' conditions, while they've been included in my chart 3+ years.
This over-documentation and under-communication with the patient leads to many surprise charges. I don't think I've had a fully covered wellness exam in the last 3-4 years. If you even answer questions asked by the doctor, you could incur charges for things that aren't significant enough you would have brought them up. For example, I wanted to taper off a medication at my last wellness exam, and because I answered the question 'why', I am now being charged for a problem-focused visit and additional lab work I never wanted or agree to.
In the process of disputing these charges, I've also found the Bronson customer relations and management as a whole to not be helpful. Some personnel were downright unprofessional on their phone calls with me, asking me why I would want the doctor to address an 'abnormal' finding on a blood test, and being rude about not knowing coding I was speaking of. While Holly in the Billing department is a saint, other personnel I've spoken with these past 4 months basically just seem to be stonewalling me until I am forced to pay or my bill goes to collections.
Overall, I do not recommend Bronson, specifically The Groves location, nor Dr. Shafqat due to lack of communication, no transparency, little concern for patient rights, violation of those rights (ordering additional tests off blood work results prior to conversing with the patient in a non-emergency situation), and just a lack of human connection.
