Friendly pharmacist, actually looked on his own for a coupon so I paid 30$ instead of 50$, always fast on filling my scripts, was afraid of transferring all my meds when I moved out here, actually must faster and professional than previous one.

I had my prescription automatically transferred to this pharmacy from the Rite Aid in Howell because it closed down. I called to get it refilled as I still had two refills left on the prescription and I was told there were no more refills on it and was told I need to contact the vet to get it refilled. Confused I went and checked the bottle after hanging up the phone and saw that the prescription did indeed have two refills left. I called back to let the pharmacy know this and the younger sounding woman on the phone took on a hostile tone and stated, “They must have transferred it wrong and it’s not our fault.” And I stated to her, “I am not saying it is your fault. I am just telling you what the bottle says. Can I just get the prescription transferred back to a Rite Aid?” To which she responded, “No you can’t get it transferred back. They are closed and have been for awhile.” Again with the same attitude she exhibited earlier. I responded with, “I know they are closed. I am talking about moving it to another Rite Aid that is still open.” To which she responds, “Yes but you have to have them call us.” And I said, “Okay will do. There was no need to have an attitude with me. I was not rude to you or accusatory and I don’t appreciate it.” And then we ended the interaction. I understand that it must be difficult and frustrating dealing with absorbing another pharmacy’s prescriptions and all the confusion that comes with it for your customers and having to deal with that day in and day out during the transition faze. But it doesn’t help anything for either the pharmacy techs or the customer if you immediately become hostile and defensive when all I’m trying to do is ask the necessary questions to ascertain next steps on how to get my cat’s medication refilled that she needs to live. All it does is create an unnecessarily stressful and hostile interaction. Especially since I was not trying to accuse Kroger Pharmacy staff of botching up the script I was just trying to provide them an update with the correct information in order to move forward with filling my cat’s prescription in a timely fashion before it runs out. I was at the beginning thinking I would just keep my prescription there and give them my business but now have decided to just stick with Rite Aid. Who by the way when I called to have the prescription moved over was perfectly pleasant and helpful. So for those of you who have had your prescriptions transferred over I would recommend for your sake to transfer them back out again even if you have to drive a little bit further to pick up your prescriptions. Save yourself the grief of dealing with hostile, rude, dismissive, and accusatory people.

There is no excuse for refills to take several days to be refilled or to be treated rudely by the staff. I don't want to hear about understaffing because as I started transferring all my family RX's, other stores didn't have that problem. Nobody wants to work at that location. I finally transferred all my RX's to another Kroger and no more problems.

DON’T GO HERE unless you like to go through withdrawals, then this pharmacy is the one for you! I never get my medication on time or at all. I’ve been completely out of my medications several times because they failed to refill them and it happened once again today. Time to go through withdrawals AGAIN.
