After not being waited on at svs Fraser I went to lenscrafter in grosse pointe. I was greeted immediately when I walked in the door and she asked me what I needed. I told her I wanted to replace the lenses in my old frames with my new prescription. She said no problem. She did need to check on the one frame and said she would be right back . While we were waiting 2 other people asked if we needed help and we said we were already being helped. She came back said they could be done to. She proceeded to help me and looked up my insurance and had no problem pulling my info up. I got both pairs taken care of and was in and out of there in lest the a half hour and was very satisfied with the help. I asked if there was a manager and she said she was one and there was the store manager to. I told them both how happy and satisfied I was for being there for the first time and they were really great. Wonderful customer service. They have my busy for now on. Keep up the great work and thank you.

The staff was friendly and professional. I was immediately greeted by the store manager when I walked in. I appreciated the they were not pushy sales people and made recommendations based on what was actually needed. The doctor introduced himself and performed a thorough exam for my glasses and contacts. The optician that helped me with my purchase made suggestions on frames and was kind. I haven’t received my order yet, but as of now I am satisfied and would recommend this location for service.

Booked a contact lens eye exam but appointment was noted for eye exam only. Now, a return date is needed a week from now to get assessed for contacts. This is quite frustrating and is part of the reason I left a year ago for better service. I came back because they’re always available for last minute appointments…not that surprised!

Today was my first experience with Lens Crafters. Overall it was a good experience. The person who did my preliminary tests was sweet and professional (im sorry I don’t remember her name). I didn’t get to see the doctor I made my appointment with, which was off putting. I specifically chose Dr. Hickinson based on reviews, and when I arrived there was no mention of the fact that I would not be seeing him. The doctor I saw, Dr. Defever, was knowledgeable, but did not introduce himself or greet me with his name or any friendliness. The exam was thorough and I appreciate that.
Sharnice (forgive me if I’m misspelling) was very helpful. She talked me through what my insurance covered and was patient with me as I made my choices. She even cleaned and tightened the glasses I was wearing and my wife’s glasses. Very kind. Looking forward to my new frames.

Lenscrafters has an absolute gem in Candace! As soon as I walked in, Candace quickly greeted me and began seeing to my needs. She was a pleasure to work with & she made me feel like she had my best interests at heart. She seemed to be familiar and popular with the other customers who were coming in during my visit which was nice to see. Lenscrafters leadership, I hope you know what you have in Candace! She is a rare find these days but I'm grateful to have met her acquaintance.
Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.
Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?
A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
What is the difference between an eye exam and a vision screening?
A comprehensive eye exam is administered by an optometrist and can detect not only vision problems but problems with eye health and general health as well. A vision screening is typically performed by a general medical practitioner such as a pediatrician or a nurse. While a vision screening can help identify vision issues, it can miss many important issues that a comprehensive eye exam can identify. This is why everyone is encouraged to get annual eye exams. Schedule your eye exam today!
Why should I get an eye exam?
An annual eye exam involves more than just updating your glasses or contact prescription. A comprehensive eye exam can also detect eye health issues as well as general health problems. Conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure can be detected in early stages through an eye exam, and this can result in early treatment. Schedule your annual eye exam today.
What should I bring to my eye exam?
You should bring your vision insurance and medical insurance information to your eye exam. If you currently wear any prescription lenses, bring your eyeglasses, sunglasses, and contact lenses. You should also bring any and all questions you may have. Contact your optometrist if you have specific questions about any additional items you think you may need to bring to your eye exam.
