The eye exam was great. My sunglasses were ordered in the wrong color then they tried to use ones off the shelf and were unable to get the lenses in. They told me to restyle which was hey should have ordered my correct sunglasses. Then my eyeglasses were a nightmare. 7 weeks and I have not been able to wear them so their incompetence. First pair of eyeglasses, they were so stretch out they fell off my face. They were not like this when I tried them on. I was told to buy the rubber ends to go on my glasses from Amazon and to come in every month to have them adjusted. The progressives were off. Back in I go. They told me I need to pay for a new exam. I said no I do not because the script is fine in my sunglasses. They said it was the type of lens used. So they ordered me new lenses. Again, glasses falling off my face. This was in the 30 days so I wanted to get a different pair which came with much frustration from them. I made sure this pair fit perfectly. Well pick it up and so stretch d out if fell off my face. The lady there had bent it so much I thought it was going to break. The ends were digging into my head. She told me there is nothing else to do. She basically gaslit me that there’s no way these fit like I said they fit And that my head was narrow, and that was why these glasses did not fit. I took them to The LensCrafters in Rochester and the lady told me that they were stretched out so bad that they were at the point where they could break if they were altered anymore and that I should’ve got the insurance on them. On a pair of glasses that I’ve never been able to wear. I find that crazy. I did get a call from Tiffany from grand Blanc. I called her back and never got a call back. I have never had this experience when I visited the one in Macomb Township.

I last visited Lenscrafters when it was located in the Genesee Valley Mall (Flint). And while the move wasn't the most convenient for me personally (I live in Flushing)…WOW, what a beautiful store (Grand Blanc). Gives New York city lounge vibes. I feel like drinks should be served! My only complaint would be the parking situation. The lot is very active with other establishments including one with a drive thru. Well worth navigating thru it!
There is more to this store than the swanky feel and vast selection of designer frames, the professional and knowledgeable stylists are there to guide you every step of the way. I am a tough fit (small face) and they guided me with suggestions and selections. Through their knowledge of the products, they took a proactive approach helping to narrow in on frames fit for your face/style. Once we had a solid selection they helped to systematically eliminate and get to the top picks. They didn't just suggest the most expensive either. They have an in-house brand that includes many stylish/trendy frames. There were multiple stylists on hand so you could get a variety of opinions. I truly appreciate the time that was spent with me!
Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.
Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?
A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
What is the difference between an eye exam and a vision screening?
A comprehensive eye exam is administered by an optometrist and can detect not only vision problems but problems with eye health and general health as well. A vision screening is typically performed by a general medical practitioner such as a pediatrician or a nurse. While a vision screening can help identify vision issues, it can miss many important issues that a comprehensive eye exam can identify. This is why everyone is encouraged to get annual eye exams. Schedule your eye exam today!
Why should I get an eye exam?
An annual eye exam involves more than just updating your glasses or contact prescription. A comprehensive eye exam can also detect eye health issues as well as general health problems. Conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure can be detected in early stages through an eye exam, and this can result in early treatment. Schedule your annual eye exam today.
What should I bring to my eye exam?
You should bring your vision insurance and medical insurance information to your eye exam. If you currently wear any prescription lenses, bring your eyeglasses, sunglasses, and contact lenses. You should also bring any and all questions you may have. Contact your optometrist if you have specific questions about any additional items you think you may need to bring to your eye exam.
