- FAFal AtkinsNov 8, 20252.0TLDR: the staff was rude and mean to a TODDLER. My 3yr old needed an eye appt (the Dr at his 3 yr well visit had him look into a machine and said we might need to see an optometrist for a 2nd opinion but that she didn't think he needed glasses yet) So I called my insurance company for a list of in-network pediatric optometrists. GB Vision was on the list, so I called, specified he was freshly 3 and hadn't been to the eye Dr yet before I even made the appointment. Day of the appt comes. The staff is unprepared to help a toddler. The first woman that took us back to do the balloon test to measure his eyes was brand new and needed help, but the rest of the staff didn't want to help her. Someone did come and help but quickly left. She takes us to the next exam room, then another woman comes to redo the balloon test and she is so impatient with my son. Rushing him, making faces when he's taking too long to comply. No consideration for the fact he's 3, never seen these machines before in his life, and is being made to sit still and answer questions when he doesn't understand what's going on. Then, the Dr does her exam, insists he's doing great (I know he is, it's the staff that's the issue), she's the only one who seems to know how to work with kids. Then says he needs to do the balloon test a third time. He's bawling his eyes out and the woman is losing her patience with him. I'm starting to lose my patience, too, bc I want to remove him from the situation but I'm under the impression it's fully necessary. Also the pressure from the other adult in the room to "hurry up and get it done" when I'm trying to comfort my son and help him to be brave. Then the woman raises her voice at my kid, I feel like I'm about to blow up, the Dr opens the door and asks how I'm feeling. I'm honest about being frustrated, and she admits he didn't actually NEED to do the test a third time, it was "additional information" and she has everything she needs. So we leave. Probably won't be coming back for him or his dad who has been a patient there for a few years.

It didn't state that after insurance was applied then they take 50 % off. The frames I picked out was 379.00 and I was under the impression that I would get 50% off that price, not 50% off after insurance paid their part. Very deceiving and I waisted 2 hours there on top of it. I will say that the Dr's and staff are very friendly and always have been. But just think the that the frame sale is not truthful!
