I Love it! This workout is exactly what I needed after many years of hardcore boot camps and several random injuries. Followed by almost 2 years of being dormant LOL but for real.I was nervous but excited to try something different. I've "been there, done that" for just about every type of workout. I have loved them all differently. I need clear instructions on how and for how long to perform an exercise. Honestly, sometimes I need to be reminded to breathe properly. While I once loved all the intense workouts, they haven't been sustainable in my current lifestage. These days, I prioritize longevity and mobility over having a six-pack.However, I feel like Pilates could definitely chisel out a six pack if desired. I am only three workouts in, but I knew within the first 10 minutes of the intro that this was exactly what I had been looking for. The place is beautiful. The staff is friendly, helpful and extremely welcoming. Will definitely recommend club Pilates to friends and family members. This place is great for anybody regardless of physical shape, age, physical limitation, they're extremely accommodating and very thorough. You can tell they truly care about your well-being They ask if there are any new injuries or pregnancies at the beginning of every class. Instructors give modifications for every exercise to accommodate individual levels. Small classes which are appreciated and I really enjoy the dim lighting as well. You really are able to get in the zone. Feeling very blessed to have found this place and having the courage to try something different. If you're on the fence... just do it! you deserve it!!! You will love it!

I’ve been a member at Club Pilates in Grand Blanc for over a year and a half and have completed more than 250 classes here. I originally joined to support the recovery of a frozen shoulder, and with the help of my chiropractor and regular Pilates classes, my shoulder is now 100% healed. Along the way, I’ve also gained strength, improved flexibility, and noticed real changes in my body composition — even if the number on the scale hasn’t dropped dramatically.
The studio itself is spotless and beautiful, but what I truly love about these classes is the almost meditative quality of the reformer work. Most of the class is spent lying down in low lighting, moving in a way that feels fluid and dance-like. I wish I’d had access to this after giving birth — instead, I tried Orange Theory, which felt jarring and stressful by comparison.
Don’t get me wrong: these classes are tough. But they’re also as challenging or as gentle as you make them, and they go by so quickly you barely notice you’re “fighting for your life.” Every instructor brings a different style — some are more intense than others — and everyone ends up with their favorites. Mine are Leslie (no-nonsense and chatty, so the hour flies by), Jennifer (structured and predictable, no surprises), and Megan (the hardest classes, hands down). I also really enjoy classes with Kristen and Joyce.
A tip for newcomers: pay close attention to body positioning and ask for form corrections. More than half of the instructors don’t routinely offer them, and I often see people performing movements incorrectly — sometimes dangerously so — especially when weights are involved. You can definitely injure yourself without proper form. A background in ballet helps, but it’s by no means required.
All in all, Club Pilates is absolutely worth the investment — as long as you actually show up.
