Hurley Medical Center Emergency Room

Hurley is a Level 1 Trauma Center. We are also the most Northern Level 1 Trauma Center in the state. We are constantly getting critical patients brought to us by ambulance and helicopter. For that reason, our Emergency Room is not a "first come, first serve" environment. The most critical patients always jump to the front of the line, making a much longer wait for those with non-life threatening conditions. For all your non-life threatening urgencies (and a much shorter wait) please consider visiting one of our Urgent Care locations where patients are seen on a first-come, first serve basis. We have an Urgent Care located here at the hospital, right off Patrick Street, in Grand Blanc, Durand and Lapeer.
