  I was so pleased with the services we received from Home Instead they were truly a saving grace. The staff were extremely friendly and professional and the caregivers were heaven sent. The way each one of those girls loved on our grandfather until his final days. We looked at them all as family. If I’m ever in need of services again Home Instead will absolutely be my only phone call.

  The folks at Home Instead have been a real godsend to me and my family. We have an elderly relative with dementia who needs assistance with everyday tasks and transportation. Whenever we need assistance and or guidance, Jeanne , Tammy and the staff, and the wonderful caregivers have been there for us at every turn. I cannot say enough good things about them and truly appreciate how they've helped make an emotional and difficult situation much easier to cope with. Thank you to all of you!

  I was fortunate to have been referred to Home Instead Senior Care by a friend when it became necessary for my mom to have 24 hour care after a bad fall which robbed her of what little remaining independence she had. I called and spoke to Jeanne Merchant, the owner, who arranged to meet me and my mom that very day. Mom and I liked her instantly which was really something since mom was not at all thrilled with the idea of having somebody in her residence "all the time"! Jeanne promptly organized a core team of about 8-10 caregivers and mom was able to return to her residence instead of having to stay in the long-term care facility. For quality of life, this was critical for her. That was two and a half years ago. What can I say about Jeanne and these wonderful people who have become like family to mom and me as well. Here is what I can say: Jeanne is always available to talk to--yes, to TALK to on the phone--what a concept! Being a physician, I have always felt that speaking directly to a patient or family member was an important part of my job. I have been so grateful as a daughter to be able to voice my concerns about mom directly to Jeanne and have them promptly addressed. To me that is huge! Then, there are all the little touches---a fully decorated miniature Christmas tree one year with all animal ornaments (mom loves animals), a party for her 99th birthday (she just celebrated her 100th in July!!), impromptu visits from Jeanne where she will just come and sit for awhile with mom--I could go on. As far as mom's caregivers---they are, every one of them, concerned, kind and loving to my mom. They help her to function within her limitations, which are significant. They treat her with the respect she deserves and do many little things for her that make her life pleasant and meaningful. My mom's world has become progressively smaller in the past few years but with the care that she is receiving from her Home Instead "team", that small world is full of caring and compassion.
