My rating to this business is an average of 2 vists. The first time, it was 5 star level. The store manger was assisting me ( I forgot her name ) and she was very professional, friendly, helpful and polite. My second vist was quite opposite to the first visit.
Location is inside Brairewood mall , plenty of parking and easy access.

Technician Rose was great. I had unusual needs in crafting a music-reading pair of glasses placing new custom lenses in an existing frame, and placing new lenses into another existing frame as a spare "walking around" set of glasses. The process was smooth and collegial especially considering my non-standard needs for the two pair of eyeglasses. Great experience and I'll certainly be back.

I have been a happy and grateful customer of Lenscrafters at Briarwood Mall since we moved to Ann Arbor 2 years ago. I highly recommend them! They really go above and beyond for their customers. For example, last Saturday I brought in a pair of my husband's broken eyeglasses, which had been purchased elsewhere (!), to see if Lenscrafters could provide a missing screw. The place was very busy and I thought they would ask me to come back another day. Instead, Melyssa, the manager herself, brought the eyeglasses in back to the workshop and supervised THE MANUFACTURING OF A REPLACEMENT SCREW so the glasses would be repaired in the best possible manner. The glasses were returned to me beautifully repaired along with a little envelope containing extra copies of the newly made screw. Fully expecting to pay for this incredible service, I was floored when they said it was on the house. They charged me nothing for the repair which took a nice chunk of time out of their busy Saturday. My husband was so happy to have his glasses back.

Melyssa at the Briarwood store is phenomenal and has given me the most exceptional customer service I've ever had EVER ( I've worked in customer service as well so know ) , and not just once , but I've been there 4 times and each and EVERY time Melissa exceeds my expectations with her hospitality and knowledge of the products . Because of Melyssa, my experience with LensCrafters has surpassed all others and I'll only shop there now. Melyssa's expertise and high quality level of service ( I believe ) should be rewarded and acknowledged with a promotion to at least Zone VP. I recommend that anyone looking to purchase some glasses to go see Melyssa and you'll see what I'm talking about.
Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.
Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?
A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
What is the difference between an eye exam and a vision screening?
A comprehensive eye exam is administered by an optometrist and can detect not only vision problems but problems with eye health and general health as well. A vision screening is typically performed by a general medical practitioner such as a pediatrician or a nurse. While a vision screening can help identify vision issues, it can miss many important issues that a comprehensive eye exam can identify. This is why everyone is encouraged to get annual eye exams. Schedule your eye exam today!
Why should I get an eye exam?
An annual eye exam involves more than just updating your glasses or contact prescription. A comprehensive eye exam can also detect eye health issues as well as general health problems. Conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure can be detected in early stages through an eye exam, and this can result in early treatment. Schedule your annual eye exam today.
What should I bring to my eye exam?
You should bring your vision insurance and medical insurance information to your eye exam. If you currently wear any prescription lenses, bring your eyeglasses, sunglasses, and contact lenses. You should also bring any and all questions you may have. Contact your optometrist if you have specific questions about any additional items you think you may need to bring to your eye exam.
