- STSeeking the TruthFeb 19, 20261.0Never been so disgusted in my life. Never thought I would write a bad review of Hannafods but here it is. I am a 46 year old woman came in to purchase a few items including wine and liquor. I forgot my ID. Adam M working at the express check out he insisted on it lest he loose his job. I said ok. I asked if he can just put my tiny cart of items aside until I come back in 20 minutes. He took the alcohol and refused. So i just put my cart out-of-the-way way and left to go get my ID. Came back in 20 minutes, my cart was gone. So I just went and got all the items again and called Adam M. to show him my ID and finish my purchase. But he was very angry at me for "abandoning" the register (mind you the store is nearly empty). Then he took the alcohol and refused to sell it to me. Again because I "abandoned the register," in other words left to go get my ID that he demanded!!! He called the manager who was confused. He sold me the alcohol and I left. Needless to say I will never come back. How does a store like Hannaford hire someone like this Adam M. guy who lied about his name and tried to make sure I didn't see his tag by the way. I am used to being treated with respect as a customer. I was treated like some criminal. Fire him for God's sake! He does not belong in customer service. Is it that hard to find people who won't attack their customers that you have to have people like this working st your store??!!!!
