For many years, my mother was excellently cared for with care givers who were empathetic, friendly and intuitive. It was easy to communicate with everyone, and I was kept informed about my mother's status. Living out-of-state, it gave me peace of mind knowing someone was there helping and talking with my mother and keeping her engaged and comfortable.

- BPBob PeixottoJan 27, 20204.0Comfort Keepers, Scarborough Maine has supported my parents for 4 years throughout the inevitable decline that accompanies the late eighties and early nineties. The office has the scale and diversity of quality providers to flex staffing as needs change, sometimes suddenly and without notice. As my father’s Parkinson’s advanced Comfort Keepers (CK) was able to increase the number and skill level of caregivers, including when we urgently required 27/7 assistance for both him and my mother around the time of his death. In the 18 months since he passed away they have been a vital and caring resource for my mom who exhibits varying degrees of dementia. They have worked with us to match the caregiving staff to my mom’s needs, comfort and desires. On the rare occasion that the client/patient chemistry wasn’t quite right, they have responded non-defensively with providers who were a better interpersonal match. Mom needs familiarity and continuity of providers, and CK has created consistent schedules and a core of “friends” who my mom knows, trusts, and appreciates. We have been very pleased with this long term relationship. Kathy Son, Quality Assurance Supervisor, has been exceptional to work with, consistently available, and highly responsive when changes or advice regarding care are needed.
