  my "other half" has been going to this office for a while under the care of Dr. Whitaker. When making an appointment for her yearly eye exam, the receptionist asked," Does it matter which Doctor she wanted to see?" My "other half" stated, "I guess it doesn't matter since both Doctors are together at the same place." Then came the bill. They charged her $220.00 as a new patient instead of the $165.00 as a patient are ready in their system. When questioned, the office person (Christy) said it was because of the switch to the 2nd doctor and therefore had to be billed as a new patient. (Did not switch...was asked if either Doctor mattered ) My "other half" then asked, " If this is the truth, then why is Dr. Whitaker's name on the bill as the provider?" Office person then said, "Because you ARE Dr. Whitaker's patient." HUH? YOU CAN NOT HAVE IT BOTH WAYS This is a way to get extra money for no extra service. Shame on them.
