- MMMarcy MurrayMar 14, 20265.0Our family greatly appreciated the responsiveness and help of the team from Home Instead (based in Gorham, Maine) during the month after my dad broke bones in both feet. Some of the positives included care consultant Kathy Damon’s integrity, kindness, reasonable assessment and problem-solving; the company’s fair contract; and the scheduling staff’s ability to provide timely assistance and kind, helpful, reliable, respectful, flexible caregivers for many overnight and day shifts. Because of the support from Home Instead, family was able to get sleep and rest through that stressful, unsettling time; and our dad was able to heal in his assisted living apartment with our mom without the stress and confusion of moving to a rehabilitation facility. Of the three home care companies we explored—and the two we hired—Home Instead was the most comfortable and best with whom to work. I remain very thankful for that group of people.
