  Called 3 times to get scheduled for a TMJ consultation. First time no one answered and I left a voicemail and responded to the automated text. Next two times I called I talked to a nice lady who said she had to refer to me a special TMJ team. Didn’t hear anything back after a couple weeks so I had my doctors office put in a referral. Been over a month and no one has called me back. I called Smile Solutions of Maine and they got me in the next week and I’ve already had my consultation with them and have my follow up appt scheduled to help fix my problem.

  Great first experience at this office! I called on Monday for my son’s tooth pain and they took him in the next day as a new patient and would have pulled his tooth same day if he would have let them! I’m so impressed with their service and excited to become an established patient myself!

  Based on my personal experience, I do not recommend Kennebec River Dentistry, particularly I would not recommend Dr. Chang to a family member or a friend. After treatment with Dr. Chang, my teeth shifted and I am now working with an orthodontist to try to correct the problem. If this does not resolve the issue, the next step may be corrective braces, which I have already been quoted at approximately $8,000. I had been a patient at Kennebec River Dentistry for several years and mostly needed routine cleanings and checkups. My negative experience began when Dr. Chang had backup removable retainers made for me in case I needed to remove my lingual bars for medical imaging. During this process, my previously orthodontically treated teeth were left unsupported for reasons that were not explained to me. As a result, my teeth shifted, my bite became misaligned, and my top teeth can no longer comfortably receive the lingual bar they previously had. I have since consulted three orthodontists, who all reached the same conclusion — my teeth shifted based on the fact that my lingual bar previously fit but no longer does. I am now facing significant inconvenience and unexpected costs. The most optimistic option is wearing the removable retainer Dr. Chang made 24/7 for the next six months (which is a chore in itself), removing it only for meals, and hoping my teeth settle back into place. If that does not work, I may need up to two years of corrective braces, estimated at around $8,000, in addition to the $600+ I already spent on retainers.

  I went in for an exam because a wisdom tooth was bothering me, they were fast friendly and courteous and they pulled it right then and there and I was able to drive home and return to work next day! They are amazing
