  Judith from the Augusta, ME store is a gem. My husband had a difficult time trying to find the perfect hearing aids for his hearing loss. She was extremely patient and very knowledgeable and worked with him until he was able to get the perfect hearing aids for him. Thank you Judith for all your help.

  My friend and I, same age, both have the same insurance from employment so decided to try Miracle Ear. All experiences have been excellent. I have had no problems, she has had a hard time with fitting because of the shape of her ear canal. After many attempts, Judith Biscaia was able this week to create a great fit. This is the third day she has been able to put them in and wear them for the day.

  I have noticed that my hearing was not what it was 10 years ago and finally decided to have a hearing test performed. I happened to drive by the Miracle-Ear new location at 126 Western Ave Suite #1 and made myself an appointment. I was able to get an appointment 1 week later which is a miracle all by itself. Most places are booked 6 weeks out. When I arrived for my appointment I was greeted by Judith, who came across as most likely an owner of the franchise, even though she corrected me that she was not an owner. Judith was a highly qualified technician performing the hearing test. She was very pleasant as well as extremely knowledgeable about her skill set. She took out some charts to explain how the ear hears sound and transmits to our brains which is really what deciphers what pitches and sounds we hear. She then explained what exactly my job was going to be. I was to hold a handheld button while wearing a headset in a soundproof room. When the door to the soundproof room was closed, and Judith was sitting down at her station, the 15-minute test began Every time I heard a tone in either my left ear or right ear, I was told to push the handheld button once for every time that I heard. Judith also discovered while performing the hearing test that my right ear was helping my left ear to hear. It sounded weird at first. Judith then applied another headphone device to my right ear which emitted a white noise sound that Judith could adjust the volume for the right ear. Judith then retested my left ear with the white sound emitting in the right ear and found that indeed! My right ear was compensating for the hearing loss in my left ear. When the test was hearing test was completed, Judith had me sit across from her and inserted these little tiny hearing aids in both my ears. I was blown away by what I was able to hear. Every syllable every vowel was crystal clear! Judith then read a bunch of words back to me while holding the list in front of her face so that I could not read her lips. In just the initial test I had just missed one word. Judith then removed the Miracle-Ear devices from my ears and performed the same test over repeating the same words that she communicated the first time. On the first test, I scored 90% on the ten words that Judith communicated to me In the second test with all of the same words, I scored 20% of the words communicated to me. A BIG DIFFERENCE!!! I never could have imagined how bad my hearing was up to this point Judith then reinserted both Miracle-Ear devices into my ears and went through the details of 4 different levels of Miracle-Ear devices and explained all of the different features, the prices as well as the guarantees for each tier. There were no high-pressure sales techniques or obligations to purchase the Miracle-Ear devices at all. Judith simply expressed to me that when I am ready to hear the outside world again, simply call for an appointment, and that she would set the wheels in motion. When I departed, I forgot and Judith forgot that I had the Miracle-Ear devices in my ears! I never noticed and drove away with the Demos! I did not notice that they were still in my ears until I was at my second appointment at my Optomologist and was removing my glasses and heard a small crackling sound behind my ears. These Miracle-Ear devices are so tiny that I never noticed that I was even wearing hearing aids. The bonus part of this whole experience, the hearing test was free and I was out of there in less than an hour. Thank you! Judith, thank you! Staff, for such a mind-blowing experience. Just a note: MIRACLE-EAR used to be at 60 Western Avenue in Augusta, Maine, and has recently moved to their new location at 126 Western Ave Suite #1 in the Shaws Plaza.
