I joined this studio with the goal of improving flexibility and posture. I have an unlimited membership and am not new to Pilates. I also weight train regularly, so I am comfortable with challenging workouts and body awareness. Overall, I’ve had very positive experiences here. The majority of instructors are excellent, and I especially appreciate BRADLEY and JORDAN, who are supportive, encouraging, and adaptive to individual needs. That said, I do want to share my concerns regarding my experiences with DELPHIA. I have taken several of her classes and unfortunately have not found them to be constructive. Rather than feeling encouraged, I have often felt singled out or discouraged and have witnessed this in her treatment of others in the class, not just myself. For example, during a “Peter Pan” movement, I held the position longer because it felt beneficial for my body. Instead of allowing that adjustment or more challenging tension, Delphia corrected me in front of the class, adjusted my springs to match other more novice clients, and the interaction left me feeling embarrassed and demotivated. While I value consistency in instruction, I also believe a good Pilates environment should support safe individual modifications, especially for clients with prior experience. This is something I’ve experienced with other instructors at the studio, but not in Delphia’s classes. For these reasons, I will no longer be taking her classes, though I plan to continue with other instructors who create a more welcoming and flexible environment. I would give the studio and other instructors 5 stars, but my recent experiences with Delphia are why I rated 3 stars. I hope this feedback is useful to management as you evaluate client experience and instructor approach.

0000 Star Review – Extremely Disappointed Avoid Club Pilates Waldorf at all costs. I was just 3 minutes late to my intro class and was immediately told I couldn’t join. Not only was there zero grace period, but the front desk staff was shockingly rude—especially the older woman who couldn’t even be bothered to look up or acknowledge me when I walked in. I explained that I drove 30 minutes, arranged childcare, and was barely late, yet I was met with coldness and absolutely no flexibility. The response? “We don’t have a grace period.” No empathy. No professionalism. Just stone-cold policy parroting. For a place that charges over $200 /month, you’d think they’d care about customer service. Instead, they wasted my time and treated me like I was the inconvenience. Trust me—there are better places to take your money and your energy.

I have been going to this club at least once a week now for well over a month. All the instructors I have had have been wonderful except for one. This one is Delphia. She is absurdly rude to anyone who takes a 1.5 class and is new. She proceeded to yell at me that I cannot take a 1.5 because she has to look at me and that I am taking away from others and embarrassed me in front of everyone. This is extremely unprofessional. Let me also say, that before this she only came over to me once and its because I did not grab my weights right away after entering or know how to move the chair "properly". I am an avid weight lifer and have been active all my life - The techniques, yes were harder (hint why I went!!!!!) but it was not like she had to stay by my reformer the entire time. This environment should be welcoming. Before taking the 1.5 class, I asked my instructor last week if it would be worth trying - She said absolutely, challenge yourself, and see if you like it. Therefore, I did and Delphia's class was the only time that worked for me this week. Delphia also seemed to have a horrible attitude off the start when she found out this was my first one. How are people supposed to learn and grow if the environment is this way? I am always excited for pilates and she ruined my experience. I do not find it acceptable that an ADULT has the audacity to speak to another adult this way especially in front of others. Everyone has to do something for the first time, have grace, have patience - do not embarrass your PAYING CLIENTS????? Was I suppose to watch a youtube video before coming? Why was I the only one that was yelled at when others did not seem seasoned 1.5-ers either? Seemed a bit bias to me. I hope this club takes into account character when hiring instructors. Being able to speak to people and not having an attitude is part of being an instructor. Laughing with others, then yelling at one in a full class is not acceptable in any way. For anyone new, please please please try to refrain from her class if you want a great experience - If you want a horrible one, be my guest.
