Training with David Guillen at The Perfect Workout has been a great experience. He’s encouraging, attentive, and very knowledgeable. What I really appreciate is that he always has my workout planned and everything ready when I arrive, so I don’t have to think about what to do or which muscles to work-upper or lower body. I can just show up and focus. I always leave feeling stronger and like I had a really good workout, and it makes me look forward to coming back. I’m grateful to be training with him and highly recommend him.

The workouts are short but more effective than spending everyday in the gym for hours. David is knowledgeable and extremely motivating. I love that he challenges me and won't let me quit on myself.

My experience with Perfect Workout has been excellent. I have been a client for over 7 years. I started with them to increase my bone density. Since training with them, my bone density has increased. I find the trainers very knowledgeable and willing to work with my particular issues.

Even for those of us in our 80s, strength training is an important part of exercise. My trainer, David Guillen, is determined to help all of his clients get stronger and healthier. He is kind and patient and tailors the program to fit the client.

I highly recommend David Guillen as a trainer and David is in the Wheaton MD studio of The Perfect Workout.
David explains technique, is patient, very knowledgeable and willing to try new ideas, always encouraging, and watches what I'm doing closely (although that must get boring!) as he coaches. He's just great to work with and I trust him and see results.
I love The Perfect Workout and have been going once a week for almost a year and a half. The 20-minute workout appeals to me because I'm not fond of exercise, but I need it. On my own, I mean to exercise but don't. But since I have a regular appointment for the same day and time each week, I always show up. I also like being the only one in the studio.
Before The Perfect Workout, I could see myself getting weaker and winded and thought I was sounding like an old lady when I was going up stairs. (I'm 66.) Now I go up stairs with ease and see real improvement in my strength.
Initially I kept seeing a Perfect Workout facebook ad (showing women my age!) and finally decided to sign up for one of their free introductory sessions. (I don't know if they still do that but they probably do.) I signed up right away because I knew it was a quality program, quality trainers and 20 minutes of targeted exercise was perfect for me. The Perfect Workout is expensive for me but I don't begrudge then the cost since David and the other trainers are professional, know what they are doing and there's a big variety of equipment that's nice and well maintained. But since cost is an issue for me, I just go once a week, but twice a week is what I'd really like to do. But once a week is working for me and I can't say enough good things about the training!
Frequently Asked Questions About The Perfect Workout
This sounds too good to be true – Great results in 20 minutes, twice a week?
We understand the skepticism surrounding a 20-minute exercise routine. It goes against the grain of traditional beliefs.
The truth is, if you’re doing more exercise than needed, your workout may not be intense enough. With many traditional methods, a lot of time spent during your workout is “rest time.” More rest during a workout can reduce muscle growth and cardiovascular impact.
So you can either work hard during exercise, or you can work out for a long time – but you can’t do both. Intensity is key if you want to effectively boost your metabolism, improve VO2 max, and not only build lean muscle but support your skeletal health.
Our approach is not only unique, it’s grounded in research.
We train all major muscle groups through 5-8 exercises with minimal rest between sets. Our method and technology provide the perfect resistance for every exercise, eliminating virtually any risk of injury. So you’ll spend your sessions burning more fat and building more strength than traditional weight training.
But don’t take our word for it! Come in for your own free Introductory Session. Experience the methodology first-hand, without any obligation.
How much does it cost?
Pricing is based on your preferences, goals, and needs.
And we have a fit for every budget.

Choose a package that reflects your priorities, such as your goal, budget, and how often you’d like to train. Training options are flexible and range from $285 to $695 monthly, with no long-term contracts.
Our memberships adapt to life’s changes, supporting you at every stage.

I don’t have a lot of experience with exercise. Is this the right workout for me?
Absolutely! You don’t need any prior exercise experience to see results with our method.
Slow-motion strength training is incredibly effective and easy to adapt, making it perfect for beginners. Our certified trainers will guide you every step of the way, tailoring the workouts to your pace. Whether you’re new to exercise or a seasoned fitness enthusiast, The Perfect Workout is designed for all experience levels.
When will I see results?
Many of our members notice positive changes within the first 6 weeks, and some even feel the benefits almost immediately.
Everyone’s body and goals are unique, so results can vary. Your progress will depend on how your body responds to the workouts, your nutrition, and how well you push yourself. Remember, everyone’s journey is different, and we’re here to support you every step of the way! Consistency is key, so keep going, and you’ll see the progress you’re looking for.
Will I get too big and bulky?
This is a common concern, but rest assured, the answer is no.
Slow-motion strength training helps you build lean muscle mass, which will tone your body and boost your metabolism to burn more fat. Since muscle is denser than fat, adding muscle and losing fat will actually make you leaner and firmer. So, you can enjoy the benefits without worrying about getting too bulky!
Are your trainers certified?
Absolutely! Our trainers go through a rigorous education process that sets us apart.
Unlike many other certifications, ours includes extensive hands-on training with real people. We ensure our trainers are highly skilled through numerous written and practical exams. Plus, every trainer is AED/CPR certified and continually updates their knowledge with ongoing education. You can trust you’re in good hands with our team at The Perfect Workout!
