I’m a true gym enthusiast and take my gyms very seriously. I’ve traveled the world and been a member at some of the most exclusive gyms, including E by Equinox, and nothing has ever made me feel more at home than this OneLife at Pike & Rose.
The value is unreal. Red light therapy, a Himalayan salt sauna, a recovery room with hydromassage and compression boots, eucalyptus towels — it honestly rivals luxury gyms. The price is an absolute steal.
I love lifting, and they truly have everything you need. The equipment is excellent, accessories are constantly refreshed, and new machines are always coming in. It’s also immaculately clean. I’ve never once gotten the gym “ick,” which says a lot.
The staff really makes the difference. Skyler runs an incredible team - Rich, Jonathan, Nina, Sam — everyone is genuinely warm, kind, and welcoming. You can feel it the moment you walk in.
I’ve peeked into nearby locations and didn’t care for them, but this one is special. The Pike & Rose location has a completely different energy. Loooove.

Great gym. Very clean. Nice staff. That said when it’s packed, you can’t do anything. Super frustrating, you’ll end up waiting around, changing workout and if you’re driving in, it makes it not worth the effort.

Tiny gym. Front desk staff wanted to charge me a day fee and wouldn’t allow a courtesy workout, despite being a member with a different tier, which I wasn’t aware of. I have access to locations throughout VA although I’m never in that area as well as Olney, Germantown and Rockville but not this one which is ridiculous. Had to drive to Rockville to get a workout in.

I like this gym overall and come here consistently, but one issue has been dragging on way too long. The assisted pull-up / dip machine has been down for a month now.
Staff have repeatedly said they’re “ordering a part” and that it will be fixed ASAP, but at this point it’s hard to understand how a single part can take over a month to arrive. Unless it’s coming from the other side of the world, this feels like a delay that should’ve been resolved by now.
That said, the ladies that work at the front desk are very nice and always pleasant to interact with.
For a gym at this price point and popularity, equipment maintenance should be handled faster—especially for a machine that a lot of members rely on. I hope management prioritizes getting this fixed soon, because everything else about the gym is solid.
I’ve been a long time member of OneLife fitness, previously Sport & Health, and you won’t find a better managed club than the one at Pike and Rosen North Bethesda! The management team is amazing, the group fitness instructors top-notch, and the personal trainers are all excellent!
Not only do I have excellent workouts at this club, but it feels like family :-)
