The Owings Mills location has poor customer service. The receptionist, Stephanie, was unfriendly, and the eye doctor, Steve Klein, rushed through my exam and did not listen to my concerns. As a result, I received an incorrect prescription for my glasses. Bobbi was the only friendly staff member and was knowledgeable about glasses. Overall, I am dissatisfied with this location and will not return after my glasses are fixed correctly.

Why does it take 2 days for a call back per your answering message??? Been calling for w days and no one has answered the phone. Service was great during my exam and eyeglass session appointment. I just need to get my glasses. This review is just for the reaching out and inability to ask a simple question

I went to Lens Crafters in Owings Mills today for an eye exam only I informed the woman that registered me and the doctor that I would be leaving with my prescription to purchase my glasses elsewhere they said ok no problem well when I came home to purchase my glasses online I discovered that they failed to include my pupillary distance on my prescription so I called them to make them aware that they omitted that part of my prescription and I was told well because I wasn’t purchasing my glasses through them so they didn’t complete that part of my exam I’m like are you kidding me right now why wasn’t I informed of that at the beginning so I could make a decision as to whether or not I wanted to proceed with my visit I feel their practices are definitely deceptive and I will be calling my insurance company to dispute the charges I am beyond livid with them

I purchased frames at this LensCrafters location on Dec 19,2025. I was told the frames could only be delivered to the store and they would be delivered in 10 days. I called on Jan 5th to get an update as the 10 days had already passed. I was then told they should arrive on Jan 10. I called about 4 times yesterday, Jan 10th, to get an update and twice today, Jan 11th and have not been able to get through to speak with anyone. This store has a terrible customer service experience. They are inefficient in the store, I’ve been in the store twice and have waited for unnecessarily long times each time because either they’re understaffed or staff aren’t cross trained so there’s one person busy helping everyone while one person just sits there doing absolutely nothing. Ruined my experience with LensCrafters and I will never order frames from one again!

Frequently Asked Questions About LensCrafters

How do I know if my child needs glasses?

Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.

Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?

A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
