The pharmacy staff are hit or miss. I recently moved here and I loved the Safeway Pharmacy in La Plata, Maryland. They were awesome. I moved my prescriptions here hoping for a similar experience. I have not. Some of the techs are nice and helpful but one tech and now the pharmacist have been incredibly rude to me, for no apparent reason. I was just told by the pharmacist that she has no time to fill prescriptions because too many people like me keep calling to check on the status of their medication. I wasn't trying to be difficult but since the prescription status in the app wasn't clear and I'm going out of town, I wanted to check and see if they would be ready, Apparently that is not an ok reason to call.

I had a very disappointing experience at this pharmacy. I had already spoken with the Safeway store manager, but I feel it is important to share what happened.
When I was asked about wearing a mask, I calmly and respectfully responded, “I’m a doctor.” I said this kindly and patiently, simply to explain that I understand appropriate precautions. Pharmacist Suzanne responded sarcastically, saying, “Oh, then you’re a doctor, but you know that you are doing the wrong thing.”
Trying to move forward and focus on my main concern, I explained that I had been telling the pharmacy technician that if I went home and the medication for my daughter’s stomach pain was not ready, she might continue to suffer in pain. At that point, Suzanne again responded sarcastically, saying, “If you are a doctor, you should know what medication to get from the over-the-counter section.”
Unfortunately, the tone and manner of communication during this interaction felt dismissive and unkind. I hope this feedback helps improve how families are treated in the future.

Worst customer service experience I've had in a long time. I caught attitude and got yelled at when I asked them to switch my prescription discount card on file while picking up a prescription for my sick daughter. Politely explain it will take some time (was told an hour) because the system has to back out the prescription to add a different card and there are other customers waiting (or whatever other lame excuse you need to pass off as reality for what seems like should be a simple task that I've seen done elsewhere in minutes) instead of giving me the attitude, telling me I should call ahead, and dismissing me as if I was no longer standing there.
No problem bitter old ladies behind the pharmacy counter, you can spread your vitriol and self loathing to the other customers coming in to buy their meds from you...I won't be one of them any longer. I prefer a smile and respect when I am getting medication to help my sick infant sleep through the night and feel better.

Why is reviewing my Medicare plan every year important?
Reviewing your Medicare plan every year is important because Medicare Advantage (Part C) and Medicare Prescription Drug Plans (Part D) can change annually. These changes may affect your coverage, out-of-pocket costs, and provider network. By reviewing your plan during the Medicare Annual Enrollment Period, you can ensure it still meets your healthcare needs and budget—and switch plans if necessary.
