  My wife and I were recommended a lot of fillings at this dentist. We held off and went to a well reviewed family dentist 6 months later with X-rays and everything looks good. It's tough to evaluate a dentist since only they know their expertise but I do feel like we were likely over or inappropriately recommended extra work so be mindful if you go and she recommends a lot of work done.

  At first, the receptionist gave me a warm welcome, and I thought the visit would go well. But after my first appointment, things completely changed. After the X-rays, I asked the doctor if I had any cavities. She said she couldn’t tell me until I did the cleaning first 😅. I found this very unusual, as I’ve always been told by dentists that cavities can be identified during the exam or from X-rays without needing a cleaning first. During the check-out, the staff presented me with a payment plan that included a deep cleaning and another cleaning four weeks later. When I said I only wanted the deep cleaning, the receptionist insisted that I needed both — and explicitly told me that one cleaning would be covered by my insurance and the other I would have to pay out of pocket, even though she already knew how my insurance worked. When I said I didn’t want to schedule the second cleaning, she kept pushing and made me feel very uncomfortable. It even sounded like she wanted to schedule the paid cleaning first, before using the insurance — which felt very dishonest to me. I’ve never heard of doing two cleanings in one month, especially right after a deep cleaning. I left the office feeling pressured and disappointed. I will not be returning, and I don’t recommend this place to anyone who expects honesty and respect.

As you walk through door you will be greeted with unforgettable professionalism and care at the front desk, (so very important).   We’ve been going to Dr. Kelley at Charming Smiles Family Dentistry for several years as our pediatric dentist and for an adult. They were very helpful when I needed to quickly coordinate referral paperwork for an oral surgeon after a fall. The staff help my young child feel comfortable, scheduling is easy, and we have never had to wait for extended periods of time (although I would not count this against a place if that occurred every now and again as emergencies pop up).
