- CGCynthia GFeb 20, 20255.0I debated on doing a review, being in the healthcare field myself I completely understand how stressful and difficult dealing with patients can be. With that being said I felt that someone within this reputable company should know about the experience that my mother and I had. The checkin process with the receptionist Ashley seemed rushed and she seemed preoccupied with her cellphone. I gave the situation grace as I know not everyone has excellent work ethic. My mother recently had surgery and was there for the first time, we heard great things about the rehab staff and couldn’t wait to start working with them to get her back on track. As we waited to be called back we couldn’t help but overhear the same receptionist’s conversation with her coworker. I will not repeat what we overheard but it was very inappropriate and unprofessional details about her personal life. Her language was disgusting. I was speechless that she felt so comfortable discussing these things in front of patients and their family members. Not to discredit the actual physical therapy team, because they were knowledgeable, patient and professional but we will be changing offices because of how uncomfortable my mother is. Being the first impression of Charles Regional Rehabilitation Center needs to be taken more seriously and definitely more professionally.
