- CMcheryl McKenzieAug 28, 20171.0Well where do I start with this review? I will start by saying the healthcare in Charles County is less than stellar!! My significant other was sent for CT and referred to Dr Matteson general surgeon for procedure. During the visit he said he wanted to do biopsy right away said it would take 2-3 weeks for results, at which time he took us to check out and informed receptionist that we needed to schedule surgery and gave her instructions. She cut him off several times and said "I'm not the surgery scheduler but I will forward info to her" (which she obviously didn't) because that's were this goes South! We made several calls to "Lynn" the scheduler she eventually returned call and said we were scheduled for the following week on Thursday at which time I informed her dr wanted appt for 1st thing Monday or Tuesday, she then says "well there are no instructions so this is the first available" I told her that is unacceptable and Dr was adamant he wanted this done asap not at the end of the following week. She said she would call dr abs call us back. She returned call only to say "well he is new to the practice and he see's pt's on Monday's & Tuesdays and so this will have to wait until Thursday" wrong answer University of Maryland! Called and spoke to "Rita" the "office manager" said she will look into and she was sorry.... yeah right! I asked why do give survey re: the healthcare in Charles County if you all do nothing to make healthcare better! I am awaiting a call from the Director of Operations. In the mean time we made appt at John's Hopkins in Baltimore, had biopsy done and will get results back in 3 days and all this before we would have even had the surgery with Dr Matteson and sit around and wait 3 weeks for results... if I could give them zero (0)stars I would!!! Worst healthcare system ever!!!! If yuh value your life go elsewhere
