My grand daughter woke up feeling bad. My daughter got an appointment for her same day. I took her and was impressed with Jessica and got to meet Dr Martin. The office staff is always efficient and truly provide patient care. As a grandmother and working in the healthcare field this is important to me. Please continue with the excellent work you provide.

All 4 of our children were patients at Gvozden Pediatrics. For regular care, everything seemed fine. However, one of our children who was under their care since birth was typically developing and then all of the sudden woke up a completely different child one morning around 15 months old. She went from saying ABCs and singing twinkle twinkle little star to staring at the ceiling and stopped talking or doing anything she was doing before.
They ran one test for Rhett Syndrome, nothing else, and then settled on "Regressive Autism." Before long she was put on anti psychotic medications and ultimately recommended to see someone else to manage her medications. Years later, we decided to stop all medication to see what she was like without them because she still seemed to have all of the same issues. We were told by Gvozden that this is just how autism is, so we thought we were doing the right thing to help her with medications. To our surprise, she was the same when we took her off of everything she was on. She was mismedicated and misdiagnosed. She was sick, not psychotic, and SOMETHING causes that. I don't believe Autism is simply lying in wait just to one random day to change a child over night. It makes no sense.
The final straw was when one of their best doctors mentioned that maybe they missed something a long time ago. She indicated that they possibly missed an infection that caused bigger issues by missing it. At that visit, we mentioned she was agitated, but didn't show typical signs of an infection, but informed them that research we've done that indicated she might have an infection. When swabbed, she indeed had an infection.
I strongly believe we were misled 10 + years ago at this office and our daughter was mistreated for years (being nice and kind is great, but if it doesn't help then it's worthless). Either Dr. Gvozden missed something when we came to him for help for our daughter, his typically developing patient since birth to 15 months, or he knew something she was given in their office ultimately damaged her brain and he knew there was nothing that could be done to correct it.
This is my opinion and experience, take it for what it's worth.

We traveled from Serbia to Gvozden Pediatrics Hospital in Millersville, as our son Viktor suffers from severe bullous epidermolysis. The heartfelt welcome, accompanied by a personalized message at the entrance, reflected the staff's dedication. Despite Viktor's challenging condition, the pediatric team demonstrated exceptional care, going beyond expectations to ensure our comfort. Their commitment to facilitating procedures made our experience remarkably positive. Grateful for their unwavering support and genuine efforts in making a difficult situation more manageable. Highly commend Gvozden Pediatrics for their outstanding care and compassion.

I am moving to another state for work on May 14th. My wife and I agree this practice will be one of the things we miss most, I can only hope to find a family pediatrician like this one in our new location.
