I was born and raised in the potomac area and resided here for work post undergrad. I have been going to this pharmacy for over 10 years, and in the DMV area this is hands down the best and most considerate pharmacy staff I have ever encountered. The Lead Pharmacist Myla, goes above and beyond to treat her patients with respect and consideration, but also to train new techs and co-pharmacists thouroughly. The staff at this pharmacy treats their patients with care and sensitivity. Five stars, and more if it was possible!

I'm not a big fan of writing negative reviews, but I'm also not a big fan of this Safeway. The best supermarkets in order of importance in this area are: 1) Whole Foods; 2) Giant; 3) a tie between Harris Teeter and this Safeway.
We did some comparative shopping and found the prices to be cheaper for the items we buy at Giant relative to Safeway.
I will say that this Safeway is clean.
