  I originally purchased a pair of transitional sunglasses and a pair of reading glasses. I placed my sunglasses in my arm rest compartment during a time when it was crazy hot and the film "shrunk" making the sunglasses blurry. Returned to the store to discuss replacement and why I wasn't given this warning when I purchased them. Needless to say, I didn't have the protection plan on the sunglasses and had to pay full price to replace. Once received the prescription for my reading glasses had been mistakenly incorporated. I had to wait additional time to get the sunglasses. Because of the mix up, the manager offered a cleaning kit for the inconvenience, but didn't have any at the time. So, he stated I could get it when I came back the second time to get sunglasses. Of course, when I came back he had no recollection of the offer and stated there's an associated cost and the store would never give those away for free. when I went to pick up the reading glasses there were as thick as a magnifying glass and I commented on the same to the staff. The glasses seem to be stronger than the current ones I had with the same prescription. A few months later, I went to the store to replace my lost reading glasses. Clearly, the staff person was new and didn't have an understanding of the discounts and other offers. So, I was a bit confused on pricing. More alarming is the fact that when we reviewed the prescription that the staff claimed was expired, we discovered not only was it not expired, but it had been entered incorrectly for the original pair of reading glasses I ordered. This explains why the lens was so thick/strong on the original pair. This is a significant error. After all of this I still ordered 2 pairs of reading glasses and 1 pair came in a case that is clearly used/damaged as there were ink marks that clearly someone tried to clean. So disappointing given what I've invested at this location. I guess I'll have to find another store for my optical needs.

  Scam place. You can't just get your contact lenses prescription and buy contacts elsewhere. You have to pay to have a new exam everytime you want to try a different set of contact lenses instead if them just giving you the blank perspective. I'll just go back to my eye doctor in Virginia who did not try to scam patients.

  BUYER BEWARE!! I had a great experience with my optometrist, unfortunately when it came time to pick out & pay for my frame/lenses, those feelings faded quickly. I get that upselling is part of your job, but describing a 1 year warranty as “included with your purchase” instead of “an additional $30” is incredibly underhanded.

  I just received the best most comprehensive eye exam I've ever had. The doctor explained everything to be aware of, gave me options and things to look out for, etc. We went through my retinal scan (pictures) and he explained what we were looking at (as well as what he looks for). The eye exam for my glasses prescription was thorough and for the first time ever I didn't have to stop and wonder (or worry) about which was more clear - "1 or 2". You all know the drill. The young lady helping with my frames and ordering glasses was delightful. The technology used was top notch throughout my visit and again every option was fully explained. Everything about my visit was outstanding. I was so impressed with the entire staff. I would highly recommend this office to everyone. My wife will start going there next.

  I visited For Eyes in Frederick yesterday to have my glasses tightened. I didn't have an appointment. They were so nice and helpful. Tiffany fixed my glasses in a few minutes. They didn't even charge me! Excellent service and pleasant atmosphere.
