  I had an eye exam at the Lavale Walmart and didn't trust that the optometrist there had any idea what he was doing. I scheduled another exam with Dr. Ricker and he performed a good and professional exam and got my prescription right (the Walmart optometrist had previously screwed that up). If you're around Cumberland-Frostburg, this is the place to go.

  I've been coming to Cumberland Optical for about 15 years now. I've always scheduled an appointment up front and had a wait time of less than 5mins if that. I'm often greeted and taken back by Dr. Ricker within minutes. Dr. Ricker is thorough and able to explain everything so that it's easy to understand. I have been living out of state for the past couple of years and Cumberland Optical had no issues mailing my Rx to me for FREE! They also emailed me a copy of my Rx so that I can use anywhere I like. I've been in contact with their Facebook page with questions I've had and they are always fast to respond. I wholeheartedly recommend this office for all your optometrist needs. Thank you!

  Everyone there is very pleasant. Was seen at the scheduled time, no long wait in the waiting room which was very appreciated. Cost of exam was very reasonable.
