  After years of dental anxiety and failure to visit a dentist, I finally booked an appointment and I was referred to a periodontist. I originally went to another provider who said I needed osseous surgery and an extraction + implant, which was going to cost an extortionate amount! I was recommended to get a second opinion and so visited The Mugford Center, which was the best decision I made! At my first appointment, Dr Bruce and Kelsey made me feel so at ease and relaxed and I did not feel the appointment was rushed at all. They were reassuring and instantly made me feel I was in good hands. They explained everything in so much detail and never made me feel guilty for not going to a dentist sooner! Best of all, they proposed an initial treatment plan which did not involve surgery or extraction – instead, they planned to use the latest technology with lasers and ozone. The treatment was so much easier than I expected and pretty much pain-free! The team spent time showing proper cleaning techniques to ensure the recovery was smooth and to prevent further issues and I learnt a lot from this. The follow up hygiene appointments with Emily and Gwen were equally fantastic and the whole team really make you feel so welcome and take away any dental anxiety. The treatment all worked well and I'm so happy to have a healthy mouth again – especially without losing any teeth! I can't recommend Dr Bruce and the rest of the team at The Mugford Centre highly enough!

  Dr.Bruce has made me feel comfortable from the very 1st visit. I'm new to the area.Wasnt sure if I was going to allow Dr.Bruce to be my Periodontist.Onky because I had 2 choices .The other choice was IN NETWORK.Well after visiting the IN NETWORK Option hands down I had to go OUT of Network with Dr Bruce just to get a more QUALITY type Service!!!

  Dr. Bruce and Emily combine expert knowledge, outstanding service, and patience (answering all of my questions) to create a five-star care experience. I've learned so much during my process and it has resulted in dramatic improvements. After initial hesitation related to the treatment costs, I'm so thankful that I decided to invest in my self care. I highly recommend the Mugford Center.

  I originally went to Columbia Center for Implants & Periodontics for a second opinion, and after a pretty disappointing experience there, I knew I needed to look elsewhere. That’s when I found The Mugford Center. And boy, what a difference! From the moment I walked in, the ladies at the front were warm, friendly, and genuinely pleasant. Huge shoutout to coordinator Summer. Also to Amanda, and all the wonderful team members and hygienists who make the office feel so welcoming. Dr. Bruce is truly exceptional. He saved me from getting four teeth extracted unnecessarily. I only truly needed one extraction for an implant. Instead, he performed osseous surgery (I wasn’t a candidate for LANAP due to the advanced stage of my condition), and everything went incredibly well. I was sedated and didn’t feel a thing. The level of professionalism, honesty, and skill here is unmatched. If you’re looking for a periodontist not only in the Crofton area but in the DMV, Dr. Bruce is the one you want. These reviews don’t lie. The Mugford Center is the real deal. Caring, competent, and trustworthy. Highly recommended
