I had a great experience at LC thanks to Jay. He was extremely professional and provided timely, excellent customer service. He also informed me about discounts available on the glasses I selected that I wasn’t aware of, which I really appreciated. His helpfulness made the whole process smooth and pleasant. Thank you, Jay!

To share my personal experience, I thought Dr. Delgado was great. He was very kind and informative. However, I am not satisfied with the level of service I received afterward. I was never given a prescription or any paperwork, so I assumed there was an online portal where I could access my visit details and prescription. I told the sales associate that I wanted my prescription because I planned to purchase my glasses on the Lens Crafters website. That turned into a hassle. I created an account on the Lens Crafters site and tried to link my appointment, expecting to see my information there. Instead, I ended up calling the office and was told that I would need to come in to pick up my prescription, or they could fax or mail it. This has been extremely inconvenient. When I went to MyEyeDr, everything was accessible through their online portal, and if I needed my prescription, they would simply email it to me. They were much more accommodating. Unfortunately, it feels like I wasted my 2026 eye exam at the wrong place. #VeryDisappointed

My appointment was at 2:40. I arrived at 2:30. I was done with my exam and selecting lenses by 3. They are efficient. Insurance coverage verified in advance. Doctor on/ahead of schedule. On to the showroom - no pressure. I told them what I liked. They showed me the best price… my insurance vs whatever % off they were offering. Clear. Up front. Can’t get any better than that.

Big fan of Louie and the LensCrafters team at The Mall in Columbia. Getting the right size, fit, alignment, and value from my insurance are all moving targets year to year. I've yet to stump him. Great customer service, and will absolutely be returning. Highly recommended.

Frequently Asked Questions About LensCrafters

How do I know if my child needs glasses?

Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.

Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?

A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
