Cancelled the victim’s membership after racial assault I was assaulted on the bathroom hall moments after a member told me “This is America—people do things different here.” The manager when made aware of this, not only didn’t take any action against the assaulter but tried to argue in his defense. I called 911; and will be filing a police report. The same day the gym terminated MY membership, not his. Victims shouldn’t lose access for reporting crime. The manager told me none of the cameras work in an attempt to protect the racist, golds should have the footage. Think twice before you sign a contract here.Golds refuse to release the name of the racist even though they have pictures of all gym goers.Legal action must and will be taken. It sucks because I’ve been a golds member since 2021 I even had four of my friends sign up,but oh well.

Better be glad i only lay $23 cause im sick of half the cardio machines (stairmasters) always being broken and no WiFi. A lot of machines with plenty of outside light coming in. The people kinda suck tho- no reracking of weights and no cleaning of machines when they are done with no staff enforcing the rules. But again, at $23 i just settled on coming in mornings and bringing my own water.

On January 16, 2026, I had an extremely uncomfortable and disappointing experience at this Gold’s Gym location that contradicts the company’s stated commitment to inclusivity and professionalism. I arrived around 10:30 PM and scanned in, though no staff were present at the front desk at the time a safety concern in itself. After working out for about an hour, I was approached in the men’s locker room by an employee who had already displayed visible discomfort toward me earlier. He questioned my membership publicly and abruptly, despite other members freely coming and going. To be clear, I am a biological male and had every right to be in the men’s locker room. Being singled out in such a humiliating manner especially after being met with judgmental looks and dismissive behavior made it feel targeted and discriminatory. When I attempted to address the situation with management, I was interrupted, spoken over, and met with a lack of empathy or accountability. The employee involved appeared smug rather than professional, and no effort was made to de-escalate or make the environment feel respectful or safe. I have been a member of many gyms and have never felt this uncomfortable or disrespected. Gold’s Gym is a global brand that stands for non-discrimination and equal treatment, and this location failed to uphold those values. I hope management takes this seriously and provides proper staff training so no one else experiences this. HOMOPHOBIA IS REAL!

This gym is really disappointing for the amount of money I pay each month. Most equipment are frequently malfunctioning, and the worst thing is that these malfunctions can last for weeks or even months at a time. Planning a workout just to find that the necessary equipment is once again broken is annoying. Basic upkeep shouldn't be a constant problem if membership costs are this expensive. I'm not paying to estimate which machines will be operational that day.

Such a disappointing gym because of how much potential it has. Trainers hogging machines from halfway across the gym dumbbells all over the place rusty creaking equipment only 1 stairmaster working out of 10 a dj performing while half the machines are out of order. Half the time you can’t walk through certain areas of the gym because full on classes are going on in the middle of it. Terrible management if any at all.
