Great equipment, however, no one puts their weights away. Weights are all over the floors, outside near stairs, in the men’s bathroom and left on all equipment. I’m live in Japan and after three weeks of being here, this is the first time I heard an announcement (11/17) to put the weights back. This gym is an accident waiting to happen. I’ll go to another gym my next visit.

I’ve been coming to this gym for over 8 years now. Besides the few inconsistencies with the availability and quality of free weights I haven’t had many issues however on this Thursday night I decided to bring a friend who is also a mother to join my workout in hopes of encouraging her to start her fitness journey. I noticed they had a children’s room which I thought would be perfect for her 9 year old son. When I arrived the staff in the children’s area informed me that she would not be able to register her son through my membership for the day even though she was present to sign consent forms. At this time it was 7:00. They told me to ask the front desk to ask a manager who was not present for consent. The front desk said that they did not have his information and to go back to the women in the center for help. This was not the second but third time we were being told misleading information. At that point we decided to just continue with our workout as we have done before and have him with us which had not been a problem in the past. The woman then approached us again saying that he was too young to be on the floor and that he could not even wait at the front unaccompanied. They had us go back to the front desk and told us again that they would contact a manager. The woman in the day care then called Jeff and told him that we were trying to have him on the floor to train him and that is not what we had asked of her. We wanted to know if her son could stay in the child’s room until we were done. Upon hanging up she said no he could not be on the floor, which we already know. She then said it was fine for him to stay in the child’s room until 8:30 when they closed and by this time with all the run around it was 8:00. As a single mother this experience not only discouraged a mom from pursing this gym but also had me second guess if I even wanted to continue a membership here. As I know this level of miscommunication is not the standard and most other employees have not displayed such behavior I instead decided to leave this review.
