Let me start off by saying that I love coming to this dialysis center when I'm visiting my hometown. The staff is always very nice and accommodating. I especially love the nurse manager, whose name slips my mind at the moment. But she is always so nice and makes sure that I'm okay when I'm there. She is certainly a gem. And she was not there that day. But this last visit on August 28, 2025, was VERY different from the rest because of a particular dialysis tech, Michelle, that rubbed me completely the wrong way. I was in town for two important events, my grandmother's funeral and our family reunion and I needed to be dialyzed while I was in town. Unfortunately, I got paired with "KNOW IT ALL" Michelle. 😑
She asked me what kind of access I had? I told her a HERO graft. I proceeded to tell her that per my DOCTORS INSTRUCTIONS, the one who put it in my arm, was to do the arterial needle down, the venous up and not to go past a certain point in my arm, per HIS instructions, not mine. What did smarty pants do? Not only did she go below the point I told her not to go to and a new spot below where I told her to go intially, she put my arterial needle up. She also decided she wanted to go into a new spot for my venous needle. Mind you, I told numerous of times not too. But NO. She was running the show here. Her own show with MY BODY! Let me tell you something Fresenius, DON'T EVER send that lady my way ever again or we're gonna have serious problem. 😐 And yes, this complaint is late cause like I said, it's only been 2 weeks since I buried my grandmother but I damn sure wasn't going to forget or let this go. She needs to learn. Michelle, YOU need to learn how to LISTEN to your patients. This is not your show, your clinic or your body. You no longer have permission to TOUCH my body whenever I come to that clinic. Not even with a 10 foot pole. So, I hope y'all take this complaint into consideration. Cause I could of easily chewed her up but I remained composed, cause like I said, I like coming to this clinic when I come into town. And the 3 stars only reflect this last visit. Normally it would of been 5.
