My overall experience at the Bowie location was very good. There was no wait, the staff was very friendly and professional staff. The optician, Katrieia, was extremely helpful.
She was very friendly, professional, and patient. She answered all of my questions (in detail) about my options. I love the no pressure and no judgment approach. I look forward to getting my glasses.

I broke my glasses and was able to be seen in the same day. Everyone there was very nice, helpful, and friendly. Dr. Lee was very down to earth and took time to make sure that he understood what I needed. Tiera, who helped me get my glasses was especially nice and helped me pick out a very stylish new pair of glasses.

Peepers provided excellent service. Their team of professionals checked me in timely, explained each task and assigned me to an expert that gave me a complete and comprehensive eye exam. They have a vast selection of designer frames for both men women, something that makes them the go to eye care facility for all ages! Kenny, the tech that measured me for my frames was very friendly, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful. I will recommend Peepers to all my family for their future eye care.

Today was my first time visiting Peepers. It was a great visit. Everyone was so nice and knowledgeable. Dr. Lee did a great job with my eye exam and explaining my prescription and what he saw during the examination. He then took me to Katrieia so that she could help me with finding frames. Katrieia was pleasant, knowledgeable and just an overall joy to talk to. She explained everything in such great detail! I am so glad that I finally decided to try Peepers. I will definitely be going there for future eye exams!

I had such a wonderful experience at Peepers thanks to Tiera Butler! She was incredibly patient and helped me pick out the perfect glasses. She really took the time to understand what I was looking for and made the whole process feel easy and stress-free. She also explained the payment options clearly, which I really appreciated. Excellent customer service from start to finish!
Frequently Asked Questions About Peepers Eyecare Center

Do you do kids' eye exams?
Yes, we do! Our eye doctors can give children eye exams starting at age 5.

Yes! We have multiple promotions as well as same-day glasses services!

How often should I see an eye doctor?
The American Optometric Association recommends annual eye exams with an eye doctor to keep your prescription up-to-date. However, if you experience any sudden vision changes, do not hesitate to call us and schedule an appointment.
How do I know when my glasses or contacts are ready?
You can easily text any of our 3 locations for a quick update on your glasses or contacts. You can also call or email us. Once the order is ready, you’ll receive a call or text. Get in touch with us today to schedule an appointment with one of our eye doctors!
What's the difference between an ophthalmologist and an optometrist?
While both are eye doctors, they have different responsibilities. An optometrist will check the overall health of the eye and determine if glasses are needed. If we determine that medical procedures are needed, or if there’s a medical concern, we refer the patient to an ophthalmologist.
Are all ophthalmic lenses the same?
Lens technologies are very different. Our expert opticians utilize the latest technology to measure and fit our patients with Shamir lenses. Our patients have much better success adapting to their prescriptions than with other lens types, specifically progressive lenses.
Shamir lenses ReCreate Perfect Vision™ by offering the most advanced technological lens solution available to the marketplace at any given time, delivering unparalleled customer service, and the latest technology and state-of-the-art equipment such as the Shamir Spark Mi Up (that we have at each of our locations).
