My experience with Berry Children’s Dental in Bowie, MD has been mixed. Some of the staff are really kind and pleasant, which I appreciate. However, the front desk and management could really improve their communication and customer service.
It’s often hard to get someone on the phone, and I had an issue where I was told I didn’t reach out about my appointment when I actually did. That was frustrating and made the process more stressful than it needed to be.
I think with better organization and communication, this could be a much better experience overall.

The office staff was friendly and organized and i loved how they worked together. The doctor was the best i have ever encountered and gave fantastic information and everyone communicated well with my son who has severe anxiety. They honestly and truly helped to put him at ease. I would HIGHLY recommend them especially if your child has anxiety. Such a calm vibe and wonderful expertise. A very trustworthy staff!!

Dr. Berry and her staff are so wonderful with all their patients! My children look forward to their visits, even for fillings!! We had gone to other dentists in the past and none compare to the patience and compassion that Dr. Berry exhibits. She is responsive on days when issues arise and she is not in the office. Scheduling appointments is easy, and there are not long wait times either. I would definitely recommend Dr. Berry and her staff to all families!

If I could leave 0 stars. I would!
This was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had at a pediatric dentist. The customer service was absolutely horrible from start to finish. The staff was unfriendly, unprofessional, and made no effort to communicate what was going on.
To make matters worse before we even got inside, you’re required to put a parking pass in your car. As a parent of twins, managing that on top of getting both kids in safely was unnecessarily stressful and inconvenient.
We waited 45 minutes in the exam room and never even saw the dentist, Dr. Berry. The only time she appeared was when she briefly poked her head in, shrugged her shoulders, and said she was just “checking in”—after a staff member had already told her we were leaving. That alone speaks volumes about how little they value patients’ time.
On top of that, multiple staff members kept coming in and out of the room without introducing themselves or explaining anything. It felt chaotic, disorganized, and honestly very uncomfortable—especially for a pediatric setting where kids should feel at ease.
Overall, this practice lacks basic professionalism, communication, and courtesy. I would not recommend this place to the devil himself.

Just the reply I expected—false counters, no acceptance of accountability, no recognition of facts—including a weather check of temperatures (also work on that of your office environment), including winds and the need to manage toddlers when “forced” to return to a vehicle to place a parking pass. These are the verifiable facts.
I’m absolutely convinced that any continued relationship with this practice would have yielded the same results—read your history of reviews on these same points. Everyone doesn’t tell the “same sorted story” by coincidence.
But do continue to counter my experience with your excuses and misstatements. Happy to know you make time for what really matters—social media vs your patients.
I love supporting Black businesses but will not over look poor customer service, inept staff, and unacceptable wait periods. From sign in—return to your car and post a parking pass (with twins in a stroller with inclement weather)… to staff who enter the room and not speak or explain their role, to the provider herself that only showed after more than an hour’s wait and only when I insisted on having an update to the wait time. The dr only identified herself when we asked her name!
The facility itself is environmentally uncomfortable—extreme temps validated by staff, no receptacles for children pampers (inside or outside), and while this is a children’s practice the staff have poor skills in interacting with toddlers. Engage if you are primed for a disappointing and unacceptable patient experience.
