If I could give this location a zero stars, I would. I have walked in at least three different times over 5 years and have had to walk out because I wasn't helped/was ignored. Literally the worst Lenscrafters location in Montgomery County.

Terrible experience as a would-be customer. No offer to help from the 3 idle customer associates, so I shopped and collected possible frames myself. Then I sat down to try the frames on by myself, again without offer of assistance. When I was halfway through trying them on, the store associate came over and took the mirror out from in front of my face to help another customer. She took the mirror from in front of my face!! So I couldn't even try on the glasses. Even the other customer was confused and offered to "share the mirror" (which I appreciate) but this behavior by the store associates is so strange. I walked out and went to Warby Parker, much better customer service and better value. Would not recommend this Lenscrafters location to anyone. If you want to go to Lenscrafters, the North Bethesda location has much better customer service.

Got Post Office mail from Lenscrafters on Alington Road in Bethesda addressed to someone who doesn't live here. Called the store and spoke to Christina the store manager and asked that they don't send any more of this persons mail here. Christina said they can't do that even though the mail came from their store. Unbelievable - if you ever move Lenscrafters will send Post Office mail to your old address forever.

Be aware of getting yourself glasses here as you might not be asked by the staff here what options you want for the glasses as they do not care of it and it might turn out that lots of unnecessary adds on to the glasses. The final charge would surprise you even you are with a good insurance! I would look for other stores for my next purchase.

Frequently Asked Questions About LensCrafters

How do I know if my child needs glasses?

Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.

Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?

A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
