I had the best experience that I’ve ever had at previous Lens Crafters! Paul Abraham in the Bethesda, MD location was amazing! My daughter and her co worker recommended Paul from their past visits. He was so friendly, professional, knowledgeable and so helpful and honest with his opinions…and very patient!!!!! I would highly recommend him, and will definitely be returning!
Thankyou, Paul!!

I wish there was less than a star to provide.
One of the worst experiences I had to make prescription glasses.
1. Don’t use the doctor on site because he does wrong measurements. I went there to do a quick eye exam, and gave me totally wrong prescription. After getting the first iteration of glasses following the onsite doctor at this location, I told them I am experiencing too much headache and they said maybe the measurement is wrong. I talked to the doctor onsite and he was offended and not patient. He did nothing but talked to the sales people and nothing happened.
2. The sales people measured my current/old prescription using the glasses I already have and tried to match my old prescription with the new frames and failed for the second time.
3. I paid out of pocket to see a different doctor and of course I went to a reputable group of doctors and did eye exam. As any expected the new measurement confirmed that the onsite eye doctor was wrong.
4. I said here is the new prescription and they failed for the third time to follow the new measurement. Hence I returned everything after wasting so much time trying to make them understand.
5. I finally went to a reputable place for prescription glasses, Apex optical in DC, and got it right from the first time.
Again don’t waste your time or money on this place. The workers are not educated enough to suggest the right frame/lens for you.
At the end because they started giving up, they suggested me to go to an ophthalmologist which makes no sense.
Too bad there is no single person at this location was able to figure out the issue that was figured out by Apex optical. I won’t disclose what was their mistake.

Update: The store resolved the issue in a fair way.
Update: Despite the reponse from owner and the filling of the form - no one has yet to contact me.
They broke my frame when installing new lenses and asked me buy new frames from them (which they broke). I asked for a callback and no-one every called me back. When I called again, they put me on hold and said they were "too busy" to take my call now. I've been in the store and at most they have 1-2 customers a at time. Breaking a customer's property, asking them to buy a new pair, and then avoiding communication can't be a sign of a company doing well.
Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.
Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?
A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
What is the difference between an eye exam and a vision screening?
A comprehensive eye exam is administered by an optometrist and can detect not only vision problems but problems with eye health and general health as well. A vision screening is typically performed by a general medical practitioner such as a pediatrician or a nurse. While a vision screening can help identify vision issues, it can miss many important issues that a comprehensive eye exam can identify. This is why everyone is encouraged to get annual eye exams. Schedule your eye exam today!
Why should I get an eye exam?
An annual eye exam involves more than just updating your glasses or contact prescription. A comprehensive eye exam can also detect eye health issues as well as general health problems. Conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure can be detected in early stages through an eye exam, and this can result in early treatment. Schedule your annual eye exam today.
What should I bring to my eye exam?
You should bring your vision insurance and medical insurance information to your eye exam. If you currently wear any prescription lenses, bring your eyeglasses, sunglasses, and contact lenses. You should also bring any and all questions you may have. Contact your optometrist if you have specific questions about any additional items you think you may need to bring to your eye exam.
