I had been experiencing intermittent foot pain and came across this store through advertisements.
The sales lady measured my foot. She took imprints of my feet, which were remarkably different from each other. She then asked me how many shoes I owned, which seemed odd. She proceeded to explain a three-step system, which felt like a memorized sales pitch. It was clear that she was selling rather than helping. Despite this, I listened.
She went back to retrieve the orthotics and 3 pairs of shoes. When she returned, she had three different orthotics, each for a different time of day. She explained a very confusing and unrealistic wearing schedule.
I tried on the first orthotic, but it caused pain on the side of one foot. She showed me a diagram of the foot and asked me questions, pointing to the diagram and asking if I knew I had four arches. I didn’t care. We tried another orthotic, but it was also painful.
I asked her how these orthotics could be “custom” for my feet if they were pre-made and sitting on a shelf. I also questioned why the left and right inserts were the same, even though my footprints clearly were not. She couldn’t answer these questions.
After about an hour, I finally asked her to explain the process. I was shocked at the prices: $2600, $1900, or $1500. If you chose the mid-level option, you would receive some free socks. There was also a warranty, but no guarantee or returns. It felt like a Time Share presentation.
I quickly excused myself and said I had another errand to attend to. She asked me what time I had to leave and when the store closed. I excused myself again, saying I had a lot to think about. She then started following up, asking if I could come back tomorrow, and she would call me.
The entire experience felt like a snake oil sales pitch. These were pre-made orthotics that were sitting on the shelf, not made for me from imprints of each foot like you get from a doctor. I decided not to purchase them.

I had a good experience at the Annapolis Good Feet Store. Didn’t realize after 2 years the arches start to flatten! I was surprised at how expensive they were but they work and I paid the $500.

Frequently Asked Questions About The Good Feet Store
How are our arch supports different from inserts and insoles I can buy online or in drug stores?
Good Feet Arch Supports are designed to provide the firm, yet flexible function necessary to help correct poor foot biomechanics, providing long term pain-relief solutions.
I buy good shoes, but my feet still hurt. Can arch supports help me?
Absolutely. It’s common for people to think that their shoes are the problem, when in reality it’s often the foot that’s going into the shoes that’s the real source of discomfort. By stabilizing the foot with a good arch support, the pain and discomfort caused by common foot and foot-related problems can often be minimized or alleviated.
Will I be able to take my arch supports home the same day I purchase them?
Yes, for ages 6+. Your local Good Feet Store stocks a full inventory of arch supports. Once you’ve been fitted and have found the supports that work the best for you, you’ll be able to wear your new arch supports home.
How do I get my free fitting?
It’s simple. Just stop by your local Good Feet Store. No appointment is necessary, but if you prefer, you can schedule an appointment at the store near you.
Can I use my HSA or FSA funds to purchase arch supports?
Yes, you can use your HSA or FSA to purchase our arch supports. Arch supports, shoe inserts, insoles, or orthotics are eligible for reimbursement with a flexible spending account (FSA), health savings account (HSA), or a health reimbursement arrangement
(HRA). However, arch support reimbursement is not eligible with a limited-purpose flexible spending account (LPFSA) or a dependent care flexible spending account
(DCFSA). Arch Support Inserts are eligible for reimbursement with an FSA or HSA as they are devices placed into your shoes to support the arch of your foot to reduce discomfort. Important Reminder: FSAs, HSAs, and other listed account types may differ. Be sure to check with your administrator before making a purchase.
