This was by far the worst place I've been. Case Management didn't speak to me at all and I was there for 7 days. Medical got me sick the day I got in there and the food is absolutely horrible always cold not fresh. They didn't even try to have me get further treatment just sent me home. Also I live 1 hour and 10 minutes away i went in with $120 and they didn't even give it back to me. I called them and Kevin from admissions said I had to drive all the way there to get it , I told them it was their unprofessionalism not giving it to me asked to send it and he hung up on me then blocked my number. Unbelievable

I was a patient at Charles River Recovery Center in Weston, MA, and my experience there was deeply disturbing. During just five days at this facility, I witnessed multiple situations that made it clear how unsafe, unprofessional, and poorly managed this place is. One incident involved a homeless woman who was open about struggling with cravings and wanting to leave to use. Instead of providing compassion or support, the staff kicked her out onto the street over a trivial issue — another client briefly entered her room to borrow shampoo. There was no warning, no conversation, and no chance for her to explain. She was discharged immediately based on hearsay. That same night, she overdosed. Thankfully, she survived — but this never should have happened. The very next day, a male patient who had been preparing for his intensive outpatient program was also kicked out after admitting he had half a drink the night before. He was honest about it and blew zeros on a breathalyzer, yet they still made him leave. To make matters worse, they refused to let him drive his own car home, forcing him to pay $138 for an Uber ride — and they never apologized or offered reimbursement. This facility operates without compassion, accountability, or proper clinical judgment. They are discharging vulnerable people without cause, putting lives in danger, and showing zero regard for recovery or patient safety. I have been to over 30 treatment centers, and this was by far the most unprofessional and unsafe one I’ve ever encountered. If you or your loved one are seeking help, please go anywhere else. This place is a beautiful facility but please do not be fooled by bedrooms with tvs and decent food. This facility needs serious oversight before more people are hurt or killed. They are truly evil and have shorn zero remorse and will continue to destroy the lives of many indigent, vulnerable human beings at their lowest that are only trying to seek help and better themselves. Shame on you Charles River Recovery. If it seems too good to be true, it probably is.

Saved my life just over a year ago. Forever grateful to the staff for treating me like a human being and for finally getting me to BELIEVE in myself, my worth and my recovery. Being home this time of year is great, but where I lived a year ago is never far from my mind or my heart..all the LOVE!
