  My plan was to stay for 7 days, I ended up staying for 35 days at the facility and then another 8 weeks for the outpatient program. It was the best decision I’ve ever made. What a great place, the staff was wonderful, the food was amazing, sleeping arrangements were fantastic. I couldn’t make 1 single complaint if I even tried. A+ and would highly recommend. Thank you kindly for everything.

  I recently spent 4 weeks at Charles River Recovery and felt as if it was time very well spent. I was never treated like a number and was able to relate to all the groups as many of the staff are recovering addicts themselves who can totally identify with the struggles and emotions that we face daily. Although my stay included Thanksgiving which I thought would be extra tough, the staff did an incredible job of making the holiday a joyous and memorable one. I am in a PHP now as my recovery will be ongoing, but I will always remember CRR as the place that got me started on the right path.

  I remember I went to Charles River in the beginning of the summer for a heroin/opiate addiction, my first night they gave me methadone (first time ever taking it) slept great, I woke up and then got another dose and thought why not try joining the morning group. I was nodding slightly so they asked me to return to my room and I did so. Then some heavily tattooed recovery coach came in my room and searched it with me present. They found nothing while I was in the room, then they asked me to go to the nurses station and put on a gown so they can search the clothes in was wearing still found nothing, upon returning to my room the same recovery coach approached me and said while I was in the nurses station they went back in my room and found a medicine cup that tested positive for fentanyl and they were discharging me to another program. I told them just discharge me. I don’t understand why or how that situation found its way to me, but on my soul I would never bring drugs into a treatment center, none the less I was also searched prior to entering the detox wing. Wild times.

  I cannot say enough great things about Charles River Recovery. The entire team goes above and beyond from the moment you walk through the door. Steve, Bryan, and Craig set the tone with their professionalism, compassion, and leadership, and the quality of care continues all the way down to case management. Matt was incredible and made the experience feel supportive and human every step of the way. If you or someone you love is looking for help in the addiction treatment space whether it’s for substance use, withdrawal stabilization, detox, or residential support Charles River Recovery should be your first call. The level of care, communication, and genuine compassion here is unmatched. They truly put people first and it shows in everything they do. Highly recommend.

  Charles is a great facility. I went to detox then moved up to the CSS. The staff on both levels is amazing. Great one-on-one care with the therapist was amazing. The food was amazing. The cleanliness of the building was great.The staff that worked there genuinely care about getting you sober and helping you stay sober, which not every treatment facility has the same motives. If I know anybody that’s struggling with drugs or alcohol I would strongly suggest sending them to Charles river.
