I really like it here. The staff is kind and attentive. It’s reasonably priced and a good workout. HOWEVER, I have figured out that other than Kat, I’m not a fan of anyone else’s music, so it’s getting harder and harder to stay motivated to attend classes.
More specifically, I didn’t find it fair when Kat’s country ride was rescheduled from Saturday at noon to a Wednesday at 5:15, which I’m still at work during. I was bummed when that got pushed back because I knew she was going to be playing a lot of Luke Combs. Also, I woke up early on a Saturday (which I rarely do lol) to go to a classic rock class. I know hundreds of classic rock songs and tons of artists from the rock era. I knew maybe 2 songs that were played during that class. I just find myself sitting in the classes telling myself “I don’t know this song either” and waiting for the class to end. That makes the classes feel so much longer. Kat plays some of those 2010s pop hits. Our schedules just haven’t been lining up lately, and at the moment, her classes are the only ones I sign up for early on.
I really don’t understand why spin instructors at every place out there don’t just play the likes of Maroon 5, Bruno Mars, Pink, Katy Perry, Pitbull, Rihanna, you get the point. I’d be a good spin instructor for my music alone haha (but pls don’t make me run a class I still can’t stay on beat 100% of the time).
And for the classic rock guitar ride, I would’ve liked some Springsteen, Eagles, Tom Petty, Led Zeppelin, Stones, Bon Jovi, and so on. That, to me, is classic rock. I’m not taking a star off my review for this, but I would really like management to be aware that this is happening. And I promise you this is not the only spin place that is hit or miss on instructor music. That’s literally everywhere. But this is my local spot and I don’t really have or even want other options.

Overall, I’ve had a really good experience at CycleBar Assembly Row. The studio has a great, high-energy atmosphere, and the classes themselves are really enjoyable. The instructors are engaging during the ride and do a great job keeping you motivated. I especially loved the music and the lighting — the way the lights go up and down throughout the class makes certain moments feel really powerful and adds to the overall experience.
The team is friendly and the studio runs smoothly, which makes it easy to show up and just focus on your workout.
There were a few downsides for me. I was disappointed with the 30-day cancellation policy, especially since I wasn’t able to use the remaining classes I had already purchased during that time. I also noticed that my bike stats didn’t seem to match up with my Apple Watch when tracking workouts, which affected my placement on the leaderboard and made things feel a bit off.
I also found that while the instructors are great during class, there wasn’t as much engagement before or after class, which I think could make the overall experience feel even more welcoming and connected.
That said, the workouts themselves are fun, energizing, and something I looked forward to. If you’re looking for a motivating cycling class with great music and an immersive vibe, this is definitely a solid option.

I find most of the instructors here to be pretty great. Facility is always clean. The music is very loud— too loud for my taste. The loudness distracts from the instructor because you can’t even hear the instructor at times. I’m trying to get in a good workout but not lose my hearing at the same time.

I absolutely love it here. The staff is so kind and attentive. Also very reasonably priced. I’m so happy I found Kat early on. She has the best music and exercises (I like doing pushups on the handlebar and she’s the only one that consistently does it). Great spot! Highly recommend!

Took a Friday noontime class with Sofia and it was the best spin class experience ever!!! My first spin class in a few years. As told in multiple emails, I arrived 20 minutes early, and they had a sweet “Welcome Carly!” sign on a locker for me 🥹 I typically go to the gym, and classes sometimes feel intimidating, but I felt warmly welcomed right from the start. Sofia introduced herself, showed me the bike, got me set up, even called me out during the workout! There’s something about that that just makes you feel so a part of. Sofia checked in after, and I felt such a sense of connection throughout the whole experience. It definitely makes a challenging workout more bearable. What a great studio & they are so lucky to have Sofia!
