Love this ramp...very sturdy and installed perfectly. Amramp worked with us on the design to fit our specific needs and did a great job. they came out with in a few days. took measuements, i bought ramp outwards anticipating a long cancer stint, had ramp installed the next week. wsife passed away 3 weeks later. they were nice enough to change to a monthly contract, charged a set up fee, 1 month rent and take down fee. balance for new ramp was deposited back into my accout even before they took ramp down. i will definetly give Amramp a 5 star, thumbs up rating.
I can't thank them enough over this tough time.

I was able to schedule an installation of a stair lift quickly, the Amramp installation crew was on time, was very professional in completing the installation quickly, cleaned up after their work completely and provided thorough instructions on using the lift. The lift itself is easy to use, gets me up and down the stairs quickly and smoothly, and folds up compactly so the stairs are fully accessible for others. I recommend Amramp fully and without reservation.
Frequently Asked Questions About Amramp Accessibility of Boston
What ramp type is the safest?
Steel wheelchair ramps won't rot like wood. They also have an open-pattern ramp surface that allows for moisture to pass through, which will prevent dangerous ice from forming that can happen on concrete or aluminum ramps.
Do you rent ramps?
About 45% of ramps should be rented when they aren't needed permanently. We allow you to easily rent ramps that are convenient for short term disabilities, recovery from surgery or for special events like graduation, weddings or reunions. No minimum time or amount of ramp required.
What ramp type is the most durable?
Steel and concrete ramps will both last for ages. They will not rot like wood. Aluminum has one-third the strength of steel and is three times softer.
What about moving or changing my wheelchair ramp after it is purchased?
If you move, you can take part or all of your steel wheelchair ramp with you. You can also add or shorten it as necessary.
Do wheelchair ramps have any resale value?
There is a market for steel wheelchair ramps when you no longer need them.
Are your ramps only for homes?
Amramp’s trained professionals provide FREE on-site evaluations, whether it’s a residence, church, school, or business.
Yes, Amramp also accommodates the construction and commercial industries offering ADA wheelchair ramps for purchase and rental.
Which wheelchair ramp will work best for me?
Choosing a wheelchair ramp for your home is not an easy task. There are many variables to address when determining how to make your home accessible and safe when mobility becomes compromised.
Visit https://amramp.com/tools-what-ramp-should-i-buy/ to decide which ramp you need.
What can I expect with a FREE estimate?
Amramp’s representatives are factory-trained accessibility specialists in ramp design and installation.
Fast and friendly service is a vital part of how we do business.
We provide a free evaluation and consultation to determine what ramp is best for your needs. During this time we will measure your property, show you pictures of homes with similar situations and be available to answer any questions you may have about our products.
How do you measure for a ramp?
To design your ramp accurately, we consider several key factors when measuring your ramp: vertical rise, available distance, total usable width, and ramp length. Learn more about how we measure for ramps here: https://amramp.com/how-we-measure/
How much does a wheelchair ramp cost?
Costs vary based on the size of the wheelchair ramp and the length of time the ramp is needed. Please contact us and your local Amramp expert will provide a free estimate.
Should I rent or should I buy a wheelchair ramp?
If you anticipate needing a ramp for more than 12 months, purchasing it is often more cost-effective than renting, as rental costs can exceed the purchase price. If you’re uncertain about the duration of your need, starting with a rental is a good option. Should you decide to purchase the ramp later, we will apply 75% of the rental fees toward the purchase price.
Rentals are ideal for:
- Individuals with short-term disabilities or recovering from surgery
- Special events such as graduations, weddings, concerts, or conferences
- Construction sites
- Vacations

What is the minimum rental period?
The minimum rental period depends on your location and the type of item. In some areas, you can rent our modular ramps for as little as one day. Please contact your local Amramp representative to find out the specific policies for your area.
Are there resources to help me pay for a wheelchair ramp?
Yes, there are several resources that can help with the cost of a ramp. We offer financing programs that might make it easier for you to manage the expense. Additionally, there are various groups and organizations, both local and national, that can help with the cost of your ramp depending on your qualifications. People who may qualify for support include veterans, people with specific disabilities, and more. These programs sometimes offer financial aid or other forms of support to help with the cost of accessibility items like ramps. It’s a good idea to explore these options to see which might be available to you.
