- LWLinda WillisJul 31, 20251.0Title: Disappointing and Unprofessional Experience at Medi-Weightloss Plymouth I joined Medi-Weightloss hoping for a medically supervised weight loss journey, as promised on their website—with support from knowledgeable doctors and nurse practitioners, and a customized diet plan. Unfortunately, my experience was the complete opposite. At my second visit on July 16, 2025, I was greeted by a disinterested medical assistant with no warmth or professionalism. The nurse practitioner I saw was disengaged, didn’t recognize me from my previous visit, and clearly hadn’t reviewed my file. She offered a cookie-cutter, extremely low-calorie diet not tailored to my needs—especially considering I do not have over 100 lbs to lose. She prescribed weight loss medication but failed to submit the necessary pre-authorization to my insurance, despite saying she could assist with that. When I called the pharmacy and my insurer, they confirmed nothing had been submitted. I left a message with the clinic requesting the pre-authorization. When I finally received a call back, the NP Mariah was shockingly rude, aggressive, and defensive. Rather than acknowledging the oversight, she raised her voice, acted insulted that I left a message, and told me she had too many patients to worry about just me. She even threatened not to work with me further. I was stunned by how unprofessionally I was spoken to by a medical provider. When I requested to speak to a supervisor, I was simply redirected to the same front desk assistant I saw earlier—hardly a resolution. This clinic does not deliver on what it advertises. There is no personalized support, no thorough medical supervision, and no empathy or accountability from staff. If you are sensitive or expect respectful treatment, stay far away from Medi-Weightloss Plymouth. I would never recommend it to anyone.

Not to mention the staff is amazing. Kristin and Alison who greet you with smiles, encouragement and make you laugh to Abbey and Voula who assist you in understanding the plan, they are all great!!! If you are thinking of making a healthy change this is the way to go!!!
