I had a 3 night stay at LGH this past week and I was very impressed with the entire staff. Everyone was very very accommodating despite how busy they are. I want to give a special shout-out to Rick, my day nurse in the progressive care unit. He kept me laughing despite the pain I was dealing with and his very encouraging nature. Also a special thank you to Myra for the special care I received.

The Emergency Department is ridiculous! A friend’s father sat in the waiting room for over 4 hours last night as a possible Code STROKE!!! Was never seen and ended up leaving !!! He is now admitted at St.Josephs and in critical condition!! As a healthcare worker this is Absolutely unbelievable will never recommend Lowell to anyone !!

I came in with my boyfriend on 3/31/2026 because he had got bitten by a dog. They took blood work and then brought us to a room. We have been sitting here for over 4 hours and no one has came to check on us or tell us what’s going on. The nurses are super rude. We understand that there is sick people but having us wait and still not be seen by a nurse or a doctor isn’t right.

Dear to whom it may concern, don't like to do negative reviews, tend to do positive for places I enjoy, but there is a lot of negligence that has been going on in this hospital, specifically in urgent care. I had a hard time writing it because my niece was born there. But its just really bad and needs to be fixed. My father recently went there for gout, and it was really bad he missed 3 days of work. His blood pressure 217. He arrived at 7pm, they didn't see him until 6am, almost 12 hours later. Note: it was a simple med and check and go. He has history with the hospital, he almost left the hospital in pain because of negligence. What if my father would have died, they would have not realized it until hours later. They did apologize to him, saying they had 25 people in their care, but that is a severe problem. Note this is the 2nd time it happen to my dad when I was present (the other time he entered at 2, then left at 1 am), happened to my mom as well, and they just gave her pain killers (if that was going to be the response then it could have been resolved in 15 minutes that took more then 10 hours) Note 3: I really started disliking this hospital because they didn't realize my mom was deteriorating cancer, she kept going for extreme pain for 2 years after her surgery, they never notice that she lost over 100 pounds and had sever stomach pains that were not food related. Someone picked it up and didn't even called us or sat her down to discuss with her with her family, she just brashly/bluntly told her she had less than a year to live. They said they would follow up in a week and Months later, they still didn't respond. In fact when she switched hospitals, and needed to get a scan in emergency care, they asked to faxed what they did, they didn't response to the other hospital. One doctor was nice to her but then she was still ignored/neglected. We thought it was just her maybe all hospital had issues with care, but when we changed for Dana Faber, the difference was evident. They were there with her, still with her every step of the way. They tried getting paperwork transfer, but they ignore Dana Faber request and never sent anything. Pure negligence. Please don't go here, find another place They aren't able to effectively and efficiently treat people

I just want to say THANK YOU to the absolutely amazing staff in the ER at Lowell General!!!!! You guys are some of the hardest working, friendliest, kindest, and compassionate people I have had the immense pleasure of dealing with. They were funny, weren’t afraid to laugh, and made me feel welcome! As difficult as it may be going to the ER and obviously I hope I don’t have to come back anytime soon, I wouldn’t for second hesitate to come and be seen by this amazing staff! From getting blood drawn to being wheeled around like a passenger princess. To having my amazing nurse Kelly!!! Thanks for all the laughs you guys and thanks for everything Kelly!!! P.S. I even got my princess tiara!!!
