I went in for a follow up appointment after going in for my eye exam and to get trial contacts. I was having an issue with the strength of the prescription, and wanted to adjust it, an appointment that took only 10-15 minutes. My appointment was at 11:40, and upon arrival I found out that there were FOUR patients waiting before me. FOUR. One of said patients was also scheduled for the same time as me. One doctor. Why would you schedule TWO APPOINTMENTS FOR THE SAME TIME IF THERE IS ONLY ONE DOCTOR???? I have to imagine this occurred to other people hence why at MY appointment time there was a 4 person wait before me! So for my TEN minute appointment, i had to wait an HOUR AND TWENTY MINUTES. This was absolutely ridiculous. And as more patients started piling in for their appointments, at one time there were EIGHT patients all waiting over 30 minutes for their appointment due to the pile up. And the patients were getting upset and trying to talk to the receptionists, who were doing their best, but also giving an attitude. They told us that they have no control over the scheduling of the appointments and it is all in Dr Zhou’s hands, and that he doesn’t listen to their concerns about wait time. To over book yourself (which i would presume that the more patients you see a day the more money you make because otherwise why would you ever schedule like this otherwise) in this level, and forcing your staff members/coworkers take the brunt of the complaints and attitude from patients waiting (which im sorry but i deserve to have an attitude after waiting 80 minutes for an appointment that only took 10 minutes). This is ridiculous and needs to be corrected immediately. Stop booking or allowing patients to book online for an appointment if you cannot accommodate them at that time. And when I finally got into the appointment, I was rushed in and out, and was trying to express my concerns. I need a stronger prescription if I CANT SEE AT NIGHT DRIVING WITH CONTACTS IN. I am 21 years old, I should be able to see perfectly clear in glasses/contacts at my age, nor do I have any other optical conditions that would effect my vision other than just needing glasses. I felt like I was being argued with/ not believed and when Dr Zhou finally decided to do some retests rushed through them, honestly making me feel like my prescription still may be incorrect because he was going so fast I couldn’t actually decide what looked better! So in what was supposed to be a 10-15 minute appointment, I was stuck in the building for an hour and a half, to only actually see the doctor for maybe 10 minutes. Absolutely unacceptable. By trying to get as many patients in as possible, you lost one, because i will not make another appointment with you because of this!
