Super easy experience. Checked in, got called in 5 mins later, and my phlebotomist (Alesia?) was super nice.

Huge shoutout to Wafa at Quest Diagnostics in Chelmsford!
I have very difficult veins, and it usually takes multiple attempts and sometimes multiple phlebotomists to successfully draw blood. But Wafa is truly exceptional. Last week, she got it on the very first try with absolutely no pain.
Today was another example of her skill. One phlebotomist was unable to draw my blood and had to pass it on. When Wafa stepped in, she again got it on the first attempt, it was quick, smooth, and completely painless.
Her expertise, confidence, and gentle approach make such a difference for patients like me. I’m incredibly grateful and hope she gets the recognition she deserves!
I went in for an urgent test that my doctor requested and was told walk‑ins were accepted. I checked in and waited over an hour, only to be informed later that every scheduled appointment — even those arriving after me — would be taken before any walk‑ins. At one point it was just me and a patient with a 3:30 appointment. It was 3:20, no one was being taken in, and the staff were laughing and chatting instead of calling the next person. They didn’t take the scheduled patient until after 3:30, which meant there was no chance for me to be seen at all. I ultimately had to leave without getting the test I needed. The lack of communication and the unprofessional behavior from the staff made the whole experience extremely frustrating. If walk‑ins aren’t truly accommodated, they should be upfront about it instead of letting people sit for over an hour with no updates
Slowest pace of work ever
1) Even though I had scheduled an appointment AND arrived early, I was not called for almost 10 minutes after my appointment time.
2) I was charged $10 for the services, even though I found out from my insurance company that the lab services should have been $0 to me.
3) I also handed the phlebotomist an order for supplies, but she neglected to give me the requested supplies.
If you *must* go to Quest Diagnostics, don't pay your co-pay. Let it go to your insurance company first so you will be charged the appropriate amount, or not at all
Make sure you get everything you were expecting from the visit.
