This was one of the best urgent cares ive been to. im used to long waits and staff that either feels unknowledgeable or uninvested in helping. Thankfully, the staff here was helpful, I was seen on time, and they were very friendly and knowledgable.

I visited to get an X-ray due to a fracture. The facility was clean and comfortable. It was my first time visiting an urgent care and also my first fracture, so I was in a lot of pain and felt anxious. However, the staff kindly guided me through the process step by step, which made me feel much more at ease.

The paperwork was cumbersome. Maybe too many questions for an urgent care visit. Or a better layout of the page or populating the many sections with ID information would make it more user friendly. pCP was wonderful she ask clear and precise questions to confirm my diagnosis and medication rapidly picked up at CVS 24/7 pharmacy. Allowed me to get better faster.

The sticker placement for EKGs requires women to bare their left breast, which is not necessary for a good reading. They checked whether I would prefer a woman administer the test, but since my prior EKGs didn't require this, I didn't realize what I was consenting to. The male tech was respectful, but I would recommend changing the EKG sticker placement, or at least communicating the protocol more clearly in advance, to avoid this issue.

Poor treatment of a senior patient On March 16, from about 3:55 PM to 4:37 PM, my mother visited this AFC Urgent Care because she had cut her finger and needed medical attention. My mother is a senior, yet the woman at the front desk refused to help her. Instead, she repeatedly insisted that my mother complete forms on her phone, making no effort to assist her even though it was clear she needed help. For 45mn my mom tried unsuccessful ly to fill out the form. During that entire time the waiting room was almost empty — only two other patients arrived. There was no reason basic assistance could not have been provided. When my mom asked whether they accepted her health insurance, the women at the front desk avoided answering the question and kept repeating that AFC was a private organization, which did not address the question at all. The staff member barely looked at my mother and was dismissive throughout the interaction. My mother has a Hispanic accent, and the way she was treated raised serious concerns that she may have been treated differently. After waiting with no help and no clear answers, my mother decided to cancel the appointment and leave. A healthcare clinic should know how to treat elderly patients with respect and basic assistance, especially when the clinic is nearly empty. Staff should be knowledgeable of the services not hidden themselves behind a screen and desk Very disappointing experience.
